Saturday Takeover with Randomly Yaya
Hey everyone, my name is Anya, but I am otherwise known as Yaya. I am an event planner by day and a blogger and aspiring entrepreneur during my spare time. I grew up in New England, so I am a HUGE New England Patriots fan. Go Pats! I’m currently living in the Washington, DC metro area and I love it here. When I’m not planning an event or blogging, I am trying out some new recipe I’ve found on Pinterest.
What are your biggest struggles as a blogger?
My biggest struggle as a blogger is staying consistent. I try to set aside one day to write blog post and get them scheduled, but I am never good with sticking to that one day. So if I can make a blogging schedule and stick to it, I would be good.
What are your biggest accomplishment as a blogger?
My biggest accomplishment as a blogger was getting published on Huffington Post. I wrote an article called 15 Reasons Why I Don’t Want to be 40 and Single. The article was very personal to me, but I received a lot of great feedback and even recorded a podcast to discuss the topic further.
Do you set goals for your blog?
I try to set goals for my blog, but sometimes I stick to them and other times I don’t. See consistency is an issue with me! At least I’m honest right?
How would you describe your blog?
I am a lifestyle blogger who loves to share recipes, info on travel, inspiration and my love/hate relationship with the gym. As a Pinterest-addict, I am always pinning new recipes. So I frequently share great recipes I’ve tried or found. I also discuss my struggles with losing weight and share any new workouts I am trying out. I am big on positive energy and like to start the week out with a motivational post. From time to time I will do product reviews, but I believe in complete honesty. So if I don’t like a product or wouldn’t buy it, then I will not endorse it.
Are you excited for Spring? If so, what are you excited about?
I am excited about the start of the baseball season. I love going to cheer on the Washington Nationals. I am also looking forward to the warmer weather, so that I can enjoy exploring the city more.
Thank you so much Yaya for answering these series of questions. Stop by her blog and say hi to her.
