As you know when it comes to skincare I’m very honest about what I like and don’t like. Well with the winter weather in full swing, my skin has been getting so dry lately especially after a hot shower. I can’t stand when it feels dry. It’s itchy, feels rough and of course it feels like someone is tugging on your skin.
When I received the Nip and Fab products, I was so excited to try these out. First of all, I’ve never heard of this brand before. Like ever. So I was definitely curious and anxious to try them and see how well these were. They sent me their: Exfoliate Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme, Dragon’s Blood Fix Pumping Serum, and Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask.
Exfoliate Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme
Described as being a more potent version of their bestselling Glycolic Fix Pads. The Extreme Pads contain their highest level of Glycolic Acid at 5%, and have been further enhanced with the addition of Salicylic Acid to make them the ultimate night time treatment to refine the pores, brighten the complexion and decongest the skin through exfoliation. Because of how extreme the pads are; Nip and Fab only recommend that you use it 2-3x a week but those with sensitive skin once a week.
The 5% Glycolic Acid works to gently exfoliate the skin, whilst helping to fade discoloration on the face such as acne scarring and pigmentation issues. The Salicylic Acid penetrates into the pores to unclog them as well as helping to combat blackheads and reduce blemishes. Lactic Acid removed dead skin cells and toxins from the skin for a smoother and more even toned surface, whilst Hyaluronic Acid improves the skin’s hydration and keeps the skin plump and soft.
The pads do have a very strong grapefruit scent which I don’t mind.
Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask
The Plumping Mask is described as an intensely hydrating gel mask combining skin perfecting complexes to plump the look of wrinkles and refine the skin’s appearance for a brighter, more youthful complexion. It contains Dragon’s blood resin from the Croton Lechleri Tree. This forms a protective film on the skin to protect against environmental aggressors, Salicylic Acid to cleanse pores and aid exfoliation, Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and refine the skin’s texture, Glycerin to draw water to the outer layer of the skin to keep it moisturized and lastly TEGO Cosmo C250 to brighten the skin and fade age spots.
Nip and Fab recommend applying a thick layer to the skin for ten minutes and then rinse, or you can use it as an intense treatment by leaving it on overnight and rinsing in the morning.
Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum
A lightweight serum that delivers an instant shot of moisture to dehydrated skin. It contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and refine the skin’s texture, Dragon’s Blood to form a protective film on the skin to protect against environmental aggressors, Velvet Flower to enhance moisture and illuminate the skin and Gransil EP-9 to absorb any excess oil and smooth the skin. The serum is to be applied before your moisturizer of choice, and has a milky gel consistency that massages into the skin beautifully, leaving my skin feeling so soothed and silky.
I’d have to say that the pads and serum have been part of my morning/night skincare routine. Leaving my skin soft, refreshed and I’ve noticed so much of a difference in my skin. I highly recommend these if you haven’t tried them. You can easily purchase these at Ulta.
