Top 5 Beauty Uses for Coconut Oil

How many of you have used coconut oil? How many of you used it on your skin or hair? Coconut oil has been something I’ve found myself using a lot this year. Whether it’s for my hair or skin, I’ve loved using coconut oil. Coconut oil has so many great benefits when you use it on your hair, skin or teeth. Even when you use it for cooking. Which I haven’t tried that yet, hopefully soon. But I’m here to share with you great beauty uses for coconut oil. All of these I have tried and continue to do so because I love coconut oil. I love what it does.

Beauty Uses for Coconut Oil

Makeup Remover – Want an all natural makeup remover, try using coconut oil to remove that waterproof makeup. You basically apply it as if you’re applying an oil cleanser. And your makeup will melt away.

Cuticle Treatment – If you’re like me and loves to pick on your cuticles and end up making them look ugly than apply coconut oil onto your cuticles. This will help your peeling skin. Also, makes your manicure last longer.

Makeup Brush Cleaner – Mix coconut oil with antibacterial soap and you got yourself a great makeup brush cleaner. Don’t use too much, 1 part coconut oil and 1 part antibacterial soap.

Dandruff Treatment – I have dandruff and ever since I started to use coconut oil, I haven’t had any issues with dandruff. I freaking love that cause I hate seeing white stuff on my hair. Simply apply coconut oil onto your roots and massage onto your scalp. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.

Hair Growth – Want to grow your hair? Coconut oil is a great product to use to help with that. I’ve been using it and I’ve noticed that my hair has gotten a bit longer especially the areas I have breakage and I’ve also noticed my hair has gotten a bit thicker.

Tip: If you’re using it on your hair as a mask, only use 2 tsp of it, rub it in your hand until it melts. Make sure you have your hair parted in 4 parts so it’s easy to apply evenly on the hair. Use a comb to comb through the hair. Leave it on for about 10 mins.

When you use coconut oil make sure it’s organic and pure. I know people can be scared to use coconut oil as a beauty routine but don’t be. It’ll be okay.

Have you tried coconut oil on any of your makeup brushes, hair or skin?
