Keep Your Life Organized with Erin Condren

Using A Planner to Keep Your Life Organized

One of my least favorite things about a person is when they’re NOT organized. I grew up being so anal when it came to getting things done. I’ve always used a planner to keep track of things I needed to do, what appointments I had coming up, events, and at the time my work schedule because I worked in retail. But now that I’m self-employed by running my blog and freelance makeup work, I like to make sure that I write out everything that is going on in the month (I’m old school) including personal things. Being a mom on top of that I have to make sure that I stay on top of things my boys have going on especially during the school year.

As a busy mom and girl boss, I wanted to share with you how I keep my life organized. These are just ways that I like to keep using my planner.

Planner – There are so many planners out there and to be honest I have used so many different brands but I find myself currently loving the Erin Condren Life Planner (vertical layout). I’m sure you’ve heard great things about this planner or seen others use this planner and that’s because the Erin Condren planners are so functional for any way you need to use it.

Fill Out Your Month – I like to use these cool fun stickers that came with my Erin Condren Life Planner to write out what bills need to get paid. But because I use this planner for personal + business purposes I use different stickers to let me know that a personal, blog or makeup bill/appointment is due/coming up.

Plan Your Week -Now this doesn’t look like something you might want to do, but I’ve been wanting to do this to my planner for a while and that is to use the “weekly kit stickers” you see others do to their planners. I swear the moment I did this I found it fun for me to plan out my week. I can create to do lists, plan out weekly dinners, remind myself of things that need to get done, and any appointments I have to do.

Post-It Notes – Is a great way to write out things that need to get done the next month before actually adding it to your planner in case you need to make changes. But I like to use it as a reminder for myself.

Color Coordinate – Like I said above, I use different colors to keep my blog, personal, makeup business and boy’s schedule in order.

Take Your Planner To Go – The good thing about my Erin Condren planner it’s meant for on the go. So I can easily pop this in my purse and take it with me.

Again these are just ways to keep me organized because I don’t like forgetting things that need to get done especially sponsored blog posts that have a due date. I know each person has their own way to keep themselves organized. If you’re interested in getting an Erin Condren planner you can use this link here to save $10.
