One of my least favorite things about a person is when they’re NOT organized. I grew up being so anal when it came to getting things done. I’ve always used a planner to keep track of things I needed to do, what appointments I had coming up, events, and at the time my work schedule because I worked in retail. But now that I’m self-employed by running my blog and freelance makeup work, I like to make sure that I write out everything that is going on in the month (I’m old school) including personal things. Being a mom on top of that I have to make sure that I stay on top of things my boys have going on especially during the school year.
A few weeks ago I had received the Colorescience Beauty On The Go palette. I was so starstruck by the colors of the shades in the palette but even more surprised by how versatile this palette is. I’ve never tried mineral formula products before, especially eyeshadows. I’ve used a few Colorescience products such as their bronze primer, whipped mineral sunscreen, sunforgettable brush on sunscreen, and tint du Soleil whipped sunscreen. What I love about Colorescience is that their products are meant to protect our skin from the sun’s UV rays.

I have wavy thick hair, so when it comes to straightening my hair I like to make sure I use tools and products that help with straightening my hair fast and easy. Now that I have short hair, it makes things a lot easier for me. I’ve always used flat irons to straighten my hair but when I saw the HerStyler Straight Brush Pro, I knew I had to try it out. I’ve always been curious to see how good these straightening brushes worked.
A few weeks ago I bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette because EVERYONE was raving about it. And let me tell you, I know why. This palette has been my go-to palette for everyday looks because of the warm tone colors. These colors are so pigmented. I’ve used almost every color in this palette in some sort of way and no fall outs, which is a YAY in my book because I can’t stand when eyeshadows cause fall out.
How many of you wear fake lashes? You guys already know that I do. Well, whenever I do client’s makeup or friends they always ask me how I keep my lashes looking great considering they’re fake lashes. Fake lashes are either cheap or expensive depending on where you get them or brand you get. Because I like to wear falsies, I always make sure that I treat them well and maintain them clean.
I’m sure many moms (or dads) can agree that being a parent is a hard job. Our time is dedicated to our children whether it’s feeding, bathing, playing with them, or making sure they’re attended all the time. But all of that energy you spend on your kids can be overwhelming at times, especially if you don’t take time for yourself. I’m a huge believer of parents making time for themselves because we need our sanity. Am I right? Here are some ideas of “How I Do Me Time as a Mom“.
Warm weather, birds chirping and beautiful sunsets are things we love about summer. But mostly because we’re able to go on picnics and enjoy time together. Last year Brian and I went on our first picnic and we really enjoyed doing that because we were spending time alone without the kids, it was romantic and we were able to bring our own food and of course bottle(s) of wine. Who else loves drinking bottles of wine at the park with your partner? It’s the perfect Summer Day Date Picnic.
This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own. Growing up I never struggled with acne. But once I got pregnant and gave birth to my boys my hormones caused some breakouts on my face. Especially when I started to wear more makeup. When I noticed my skin acting out I knew that I had to get it under control. It’s one thing having acne as a kid but as an adult, it’s not fun. No matter how many times I washed my face, I would still get those occasional breakouts especially when Aunt Flo comes to visit.
