It’s been a while since I shared a makeup look on my blog and today I wanted to share with you this Simple Peach Glowy makeup look I had created a few days ago which has been my favorite to do because of the simplicity. During the spring/summer months, I love to keep my makeup looks very minimal because I don’t have time to sit and do glam because it’s just going to melt off. The humidity in Wisconsin is insane during the summer months. So the fewer makeup products I have the better for me.
You guys!!!!! I have been so excited to share this with you because I’ve been so excited for this collaboration. I’m collaborating with my blogger bestie Alexis from A Blissful Haven. We are showing you some Valentine’s Day makeup looks + fashion looks for you. This is the first time I’m ever collaborating with a fashion blogger. I can guarantee you’re going to like the looks that Alexis has put together for you if you’re still not sure what to wear for Valentine’s Day.
I have another fun collaboration and it’s with my girlfriend Andrea from Glam Hungry Mom. We have been friends for a long time now it seems. Just like me, she also has two little boys and loves all things beauty. So we hit it off great. We wanted to create a makeup look using a palette we haven’t used but that included a pop of color. We both decided to use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made palette.
You guys we are ringing in 2017 in 4 days! CRAZY. If you didn’t catch it yesterday on the blog but I did a 2016: A Year in Review. With that being said this week for the Beauty Mix is all about the New Year’s Eve look. I’m definitely a fan of New Year’s Eve makeup look because you can do WHATEVER look you want because it’s a HUGE celebration. So today I did a smokey eye using black and burgundy because I wanted to use my Urban Decay Heavy Metal (Glamrock).
5 days people! 5 days until Christmas. Are you done with your shopping? I sure ain’t. I have to finish up this week. This week for the Beauty Mix: Christmas (Holiday Makeup). I just love holiday makeup looks and this week I wanted to keep it classy, sparkly but bold with the red lipstick. I honestly believe that this look is super simple to do. The classic wing liner with the gold glitter liner above it and white sparkly shade on the crease.
This week for the Beauty Mix it’s all about the sparkle. Some people love to wear sparkly eye looks during the holiday months and that’s what I love to do as well. I feel like when you add a bit of sparkle to your eyes, it makes everything better. So this week Ashleigh and I have decided to create a look for the holiday that included some sparkle.
This week for the Beauty Mix is all about the silver. Silver is starting to become a popular color right now at least when it comes to holiday looks and we definitely wanted to create a holiday look using the color silver. This is the look I came up with. A silver smokey eye. I love how bright the silver came out because of the eyeshadow base I used for it. Now I did go with a lip gloss on this look because I never use lip gloss. I’m not a fan of it but this one I really like. It’s not sticky like other lip gloss. It’s from the brand Hikari and it’s seriously worth the purchase if you’re a lip gloss fan.
Holiday makeups are seriously my favorite ones to do. I get to be creative and play with color. Last week I shared with you a Copper Holiday Makeup and this week I bring you the Green Halo Holiday Makeup. Green is very popular during the month of December and it works perfect on any skin tone. At least I think it does. I have brown eyes so green makes eye color pop out more. Today’s look is also in collaboration with my beautiful friend Taylor from Blonde & Ambitious. I’ve gotten to know Taylor a bit more since we’re in a couple of Instagram pods and Facebook groups. Beauty is something we definitely in common so when she mentioned to me she wanted to collaborate, I was all over it.
Happy 1st day of December. We only have 24 days until Christmas and 30 days until we ring in the new year. Crazy to think how fast this year has gone by. With it being the month of Christmas, I am going to bring you a holiday look. Now this isn’t your typical red lips or anything. I bring you the Copper Holiday Makeup look. I decided to do a cut crease with this look and do a double wing with copper glitter.
Last week for the Beauty Mix it was all about the Thanksgiving look. This week it’s all about the gold. Gold is definitely a color you can use all year around especially during the holiday months. So Ashleigh and I decided to do gold makeup looks this week. I decided to use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made palette which I haven’t used in a long time and pair the eye look with a bold lip color. Even though they no longer sell the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made palette (at least I don’t think) I’m sure you can create this look with any gold, orange and brown shades you have. Like if you have the Morphe palettes, you’re good to go!
This weeks beauty mix is all about the Thanksgiving makeup look. For me I wanted to do a simple but bold look. Usually I do a nude lipstick and bold eyes but this year I think I’ll be doing the neutral eye and bold lip. We shall see. I’m usually in the kitchen on Thanksgiving day and I’m sure some of you will be too so this look was super easy to do and I’m sure you can pull it off as well.
Holiday makeup looks are in full blown gear. I love creating holiday makeup looks and this week it’s all about the Beauty Mix: Red. Let’s be real here, we all know we can rock the red lipstick. You can wear it by simply wearing no eyeshadow and with some mascara but today I did a sultry smokey glam look to go with the red lipstick. I usually love to rock the simple wing liner with the red lipstick and some neutral eyeshadow but this makeup is completely different. I used the Morphe 35F palette to create this look.
Oh my gosh you guys Halloween is literally 6 days away! I’m so excited for Halloween. My boys got their costumes already and I can’t wait to take them trick-a-treating. Mommy is taxing these boys by the way. This week for the Beauty Mix; Ashleigh and I created another Halloween look. Originally I wanted to do a glamorous skull but then I saw this video by CosmobyHaley and I was inspired to do this Wicked Spider Web Halloween Look. She didn’t add any spiders but I wanted to, to make the look more creepy. And although I’m terrified of spiders, I’m glad I was able to stay calm when I was adding the fake spiders.
