You guys 4th of July is 2 weeks away. But this weekend my city is having a 4th of July event which is called “Shake the Lake”. They set off fireworks for 4th of July on the lake and this is our first year taking my boys to it. Of course, I had to create a fun Holiday Makeup: Easy Red White and Blue look. I mean we are celebrating America’s Independence Day why not go all out for this holiday.
Now that we’re full blown summer weather, I’m collaborating with my blog bestie Alexis from A Blissful Haven to share with you, our Summer Beauty and Fashion Must-Haves. We rounded up our favorite beauty and fashion items. With it being warm out I’m sure you want to know what are great beauty products to use this summer and what fashion trends are in or are our favorite trends. When it comes to beauty in the summer I like to keep it very minimal. The fewer products I have to put on, the better because I have oily skin and I hate when I feel sweaty with a bunch of beauty products on.
Everyone knows that I like to make sure I look bronzy in the summer (actually all year around) so when PUR Cosmetics released their PUR Cosmetics Bronze Your Selfie, I was lucky enough to have a bottle sent to me to test out. This is a limited edition so if you decide that this is something you need after you read my review, I highly suggest you purchase it right away before they’re gone.
In the beauty world, people are raving about the Wet’n Wild Photo Focus Foundation and Concealer but I’m here to let you know whether or not this is a miss or a hit. I’m all about drugstore foundations because they are some REALLY good foundations out there. I purchased this foundation a few weeks ago because one of my blog friends Steffanie from Brighter Darling was trying it out and she too has oily skin like myself, so I jumped on the bandwagon.
It’s been a while since I’ve shared my monthly beauty favorites. But I have decided that this will be my last one on my blog and I will be sharing my monthly beauty favorites through my newsletter so be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you get an update every month of what beauty products I am currently loving/raving about. Let’s talk about my May’s Beauty Favorites. First, let me just say that May flew by so quick. I was expecting it to go by slow but no here we are and it’s June already. Anyone else with me on that?
You’re probably we’re confused by the caption of this post. I would be considering the word “spatula” is in it. Usually, when you think of spatula, the first thing pops in mind is a kitchen utensil. But I’m not talking about the cooking spatula you use in the kitchen. The Labelle Ultrasonic Skin Spatula from Trophy Skin is a skin care spatula that will help with your pesky pores and much more.

This post is something I’ve been meaning to do because I’ve been asked numerous of times on how I cream contour. Cream contouring isn’t something many people can do because it’s tedious and you have to make sure you’re doing it right. Otherwise, you look like a hot mess. I will be honest with you, it took me a year to master down the cream contouring. It wasn’t something I was able to do for a while because I wasn’t blending correctly. In today’s post, I’m going to show you how I cream contour by sharing with you a tutorial. I will explain each step of my process when it comes to cream contouring.
I self-tan! It’s true. I love to do it because I personally don’t like to be out in the sun for so long because I get extremely dark so quick (not that there’s anything wrong with that) BUT I also don’t like the feeling of being sweaty. Last summer I went out to the waterpark with my family and I got so dark so quick that I still have tan lines from last year. But I do love having that summer glow all year round. Because of that, I’m going to let you know how I prep my skin for self-tanners. I know that some people aren’t sure how to prep their skin for self-tanners or they don’t do these steps in order to make sure their self-tanners last. I have to express how important it is to make sure that you do these steps.
