This past Saturday I turned 29. My parents, nephew, boyfriend, my boys and I went to Chicago. I have never gone to Chicago to be a tourist. I’ve only driven by it whenever my family and I use to drive to New York to visit family. So for my 29th birthday, I wanted to do something fun that involved my boys and parents because usually every year I would celebrate with close friends and my boys would be gone for my birthday with their dad.
You guys have no idea how ready I am for Wisconsin to get back into the Fall weather. This past week it’s been in the high 80’s and I wasn’t too happy about that because the week before that we literally had 60-degree weather. Like mother nature turned on the heat on us again. NOT COOL! Fall is by far my favorite season. I just love everything about it from the candles, decorations, weather, all things pumpkin, Halloween and of course fashion. This week I am showing you guys, my must-have Fall Fashion Staples.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of SSM Health St. Mary’s. The opinions and text are all mines. Last month I talked to you about Rylan’s Birth Story but today I’m going to be talking about Landon’s Birth Story at SSM Health St. Mary’s. I’m going to be completely honest with you ladies but Landon’s pregnancy was another dramatic event for me. I had morning sickness all 9 months and six months into the pregnancy I was having issues with my anemia. I had to get 2 units of blood transfusion in order for me to stay alive. He was taking all of my red blood cells. But one thing I knew was that I was going to have Landon by c-section. I didn’t want a traumatic delivery again so thankfully my doctor was amazing about it and told me c-section would be a good idea.
Sponsored Post: This post is sponsored by Illy, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. Are you someone who has a morning routine? As a mom and full-time blogger, I love having a morning routine. I may not always be good with following every single thing in the morning but at least I get it done.I’ve read posts where bloggers like to share what their day looks like and that’s what I wanted today’s post to be about. But before I get things started I have to drink coffee. I’m a hot coffee person but in the summer, I do enjoy drinking iced coffee.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a post like this. I always love reading posts where you get to know the blogger more and thanks to Steffanie (Brighter, Darling) for tagging me in her post because now I get to answer the questions she asked me. It’s a great to know me outside of the beauty posts that I only write.

The following content is intended for readers who are 21 or older. #Crabfest #CrabfestSummer #CollectiveBias Ever since Brian met me, he knew that I love seafood. I’m half Ecuadorian so seafood was given to us growing up and we actually enjoyed eating. Surprising right? When Brian and I went on our first date I remember telling him how much I like to go to Red Lobster because they have the best seafood and their cheddar bay biscuits are BOMB. Throughout the summer we definitely like to take advantage of any specials Red Lobster has and this year we went during Crabfest.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of SSM Health St. Mary’s. The opinions and text are all mine. We are going to be throwing it back to 9 years ago. I remember taking the pregnancy test on Memorial Day and anxiously waiting to find out if we were expecting. When we saw that test turn “positive” my heart dropped. I got pregnant at a very young age (at least for me it felt like it was young). At the time my boy’s dad (my ex-husband) and I had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Being 19 and pregnant, we were still living at our parent’s house. I remember telling my mom I was pregnant and she told me immediately to schedule an appointment at my clinic to make sure I was pregnant.
One of my least favorite things about a person is when they’re NOT organized. I grew up being so anal when it came to getting things done. I’ve always used a planner to keep track of things I needed to do, what appointments I had coming up, events, and at the time my work schedule because I worked in retail. But now that I’m self-employed by running my blog and freelance makeup work, I like to make sure that I write out everything that is going on in the month (I’m old school) including personal things. Being a mom on top of that I have to make sure that I stay on top of things my boys have going on especially during the school year.
