Last week I shared with you an affordable Fourth of July look but I promise this isn’t another holiday outfit. If you guys read my post last week I purchased a few items from SheIn. If you’re unfamiliar with SheIn – it’s basically an international online shop that sells affordable clothes. I was told about this shop through my friend Steffanie from Brighter Darling and I was immediately impressed by the price of the clothes. But there’s a difference when you look at the price and the quality of the clothes.
Now that we’re full blown summer weather, I’m collaborating with my blog bestie Alexis from A Blissful Haven to share with you, our Summer Beauty and Fashion Must-Haves. We rounded up our favorite beauty and fashion items. With it being warm out I’m sure you want to know what are great beauty products to use this summer and what fashion trends are in or are our favorite trends. When it comes to beauty in the summer I like to keep it very minimal. The fewer products I have to put on, the better because I have oily skin and I hate when I feel sweaty with a bunch of beauty products on.
This weekend we had the pleasure of going to the Kalahari Resorts. Now if you read my Summer Bucket List, you saw me talk about how going to the Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells was on our bucket list because it’s such a great fun place to go as a family. Well, thanks to Kalahari Resorts we were able to go for the day. Let me just say that we had the BEST TIME there. The boys and Brian have never been there but I have a few years ago but a lot has changed since I’ve been there. First off they have this new water ride called “The Smoke that Thunders”.
We are literally days away from Fourth of July. Can you believe it? I’m teaming up with Steffanie from Brighter, Darling to give you some Fourth of July fashion inspiration. Now in Wisconsin, it gets REALLY hot and muggy during the day on Fourth of July. But at night when you’re watching the fireworks by the lake, the mosquitos can be a big pain and it can get a tad bit nippy. For me, I love to make sure I’m covered as much as possible because I’m allergic to mosquitos. Yes I know, it’s weird but my body reacts differently when I get bit by one.
As the boys are getting ready to be with their dad for the majority of the summer, Brian and I have plans to take full advantage of the time we have to do as many things together. Recently I shared all about our summer bucket list and one of the things on our summer bucket list is to definitely go out on a date(s). There are so many great places in our city (or outside of our city) that we haven’t tried and maybe we will take that risk and try them out. We LOVE to eat, it’s no lie. But one of the things that I love about date nights, is being able to get dressed up and pretty. I like taking that time to actually pick out an outfit or dress. And since it’s summer; my go-to dresses are definitely maxi dresses.
School is almost out and that means summer is officially here in Wisconsin. We are finally having some sunshine and 80-degree weather. Which means it’s finally time to start planning our summer. As many of you know, my boys spend their summer with their dad and stepmom since I have them during the school year. Which means I’m very limited to a number of things I can do with them when I do have them until they leave. The majority of the things we do them is things they can do. Like going to the pool, zoo, splash park, park but once the boys are gone Brian and I like to take this time and do things for ourselves. I mean it’s our free time so we have to take advantage.
Many of you know that I’ve started this journey with blogging almost 3 years ago and it was all about beauty. But this year I decided to expand my niche to fashion. I use to work retail and I loved every minute of it because of the cute clothes I was able to purchase before anyone else would. But when I started my blog I didn’t think that I had the confidence to post photos of myself in my favorite clothing because I was lacking that confidence.
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by HelloFresh. All opinions and results expressed in this article are 100% my own. Being a busy mom sometimes I don’t have time to go to the grocery store, especially with my boy’s baseball schedule. And when we don’t have the kids we’re always trying to figure out what we want to eat. Sometimes looking up meal ideas on Pinterest isn’t easy because you find something but that means you have to go out and get the ingredients. Let’s be honest here sometimes we’re too lazy to even do that and I hate having to result in having my local pizza place deliver our favorite pizza. And I LOVE to cook. Well, what if I told you that can easily change by having actual healthy and fresh meals delivered to your front door for you to cook at home.
Can we just talk about how cute this off the shoulder top is? Off the shoulder, tops are seriously my favorite tops to wear in the summer. I’ve always been told I have great shoulders. So I love to show off my shoulders a lot in the summer. I’m also all about flowy tops because I’m not that top of person who loves to wear tight shirts. I always feel uncomfortable when the tops feel tight against my body. This top is seriously perfect if you’re someone who loves flowy comfortable tops.
Shop Tobi is seriously becoming one of my favorite brands. They have the cutest clothes for women. I’m a huge fan of their tops and dresses. Although this Emily Shop Tobi Criss Cross Plunging Top is quite revealing in the front, doesn’t mean you can’t wear it with a cute lace tank top or plain tank. I went ahead and paired it with this white tank top since I was wearing white jeans and tan wedges.
Mother’s Day is nearly approaching and I’m definitely excited to be celebrating this day with my boys, Brian, and my family. We usually go out to dinner or grill out. Normally when it comes to special holidays like this I like to dress up very cute and this Shop PinkBlush dress is definitely the perfect Mother’s Day outfit. If you’re unfamiliar with Shop PinkBlush, they have beautiful clothes for moms or soon to be moms.
I’ve never been to France but it’s definitely on my bucket list. But planning a vacation to another country can be quite expensive. So why not bring France to your home. Today I’m talking how you can host a wine tasting party at home with French wine, butter, and cheese. No need to spend tons of dollars to do this. I’ve never done a wine tasting before and I was definitely excited to do this when I received these French wines. I had my best friends and my parents over to help me taste the wines.
Sweet Talk Me Cream Floral Dress One of my favorite things about blogging is getting to know the people I follow. I’m sure you’re the same way when it comes to who you follow. I wanted to do a Q&A and have you guys ask me the questions. I posted this on Instagram last week and I got so many questions that I had to break this post into 2 parts. You guys asked so many great questions.
