How to Have Fun on Your Long Road …

Hey, Y’all! I’m Melissa and I blog over at The Rambling Llama. You can find me talking about my kids, trying to get fit, and the occasional recipe. Jasmine has quickly become one of my favorite bloggers, so I’m pretty honored to be able to take over her little corner of the internet today! My husband and I are probably what you would consider “professional road-trippers” Once a year we make the drive from the middle of Georgia to the middle of New Jersey. It’s about a 13-15 hour trip depending on how much you stop. With two small kids we tend to go on the 14 hour length! As professionals, my husband and I have developed a bit of a system so we don’t want to kill each other on the trip. Today, I’d like to share those with you! // Snacks are Key. Let’s face it! Fast food and snacks from the gas station can get pricy. Before you leave, load your car with lots of tasty filling snacks. Granola bars are  winner for us! We can usually get away with going to the dollar store a few days before we leave to get things that everyone loves. Along with the snacks,…

High Five for Friday

Hello Friday. I’m pretty feeling this gif by the way. Can’t wait to sit back have a few beers or drinks and enjoy the sunny weather this weekend. Today I’ll be at Rylan’s Kindergarten Spring Music Concert. So I can’t wait to take lots of pictures. Things I’m High Fiving this week… Courtney from HerSailingSoul and I will be hosting starting June 1st (Monday) a weekly link up. In this link you will get to write a post about three goals you have during the week that you want to accomplish. It can be blog goals, home goals, anything… Its a great way to get yourself motivated and accomplishing those goals. Seems easy right? I will be enrolling to school next month to be a certified Makep-Up Artist. I’m so excited about this. I’m hoping to get this completed in 3 months either ways I’m so excited. This will help me improve my makeup skills and get my business started!!! Jessica & I added two new group admins to our group and we have grown so much. I love it. Thank you to Elizabeth & Mona. If you haven’t yet come join our group. Definitely loving this tank I got…

Contouring Basics

Contouring has always been hardest struggle. I just didn’t know how to do it or what products to use. At first I started off with just using bronzer to contour and then I saw videos on Youtube actually  watching Nicole Guerriero videos.   After I saw how she was contouring I started to practice. Finally a few months ago I mastered it. I was so proud of myself.   Keep in mind I like to apply foundation, do my eyebrows and eyeshadow first before I start to contour. (Always remember to put on primer before applying any makeup)   Concealer (Fair) | Maybelline Face Studio Master Conceal $8.99 – Like I noted before I like to start off with foundation after applying my primer. Once you have the foundation on you want to apply concealer underneath your eyes, t-bone of your face, and a little above your jawline.   Foundation Darker Shade | Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free $8.99 – You’ll apply this on your forehead, underneath cheek bones, and your jawline.   Beauty Blender Sponge | Ulta Beauty Blender $4.99 – Use this to blend out your foundation and concealer. Best product ever invented.   Highlight | High Beam Highlight…

E.L.F Products

First off Happy Memorial Day!! Hope you’re all having a good holiday weekend. It’s been raining in good old Wisconsin, which sucks. So we’ve been stuck inside. Blah! But anyways, today I’m sharing with you my favorite E.L.F products that I just can’t live without. Powerless Face Primer: This was honestly my first primer I ever bought. When I put it on my face it left my skin feeling soft and silky. Definitely recommend it. High Definition Powder: LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I use this as a finishing product. Leaves my makeup looking flawless. Contour Blush & Bronzing Kit: Recommend it for on the go. If you just want to use it as an easy on the go makeup. Strippling Brush: I use this everyday for when applying my makeup. I feel like it applies my makeup very good. Better than the foundation brush. Translucent Powder: Better than using the colored powder. This is the best for contouring. Do you have favorite products from E.L.F? I decided to create a Facebook page for my makeup account. I decided to follow my dreams as a makeup artist (small business) and just seeing where this will take me. I would love your…
