  1. This is an awesome post idea, especially if you live in a place like I do where there are not many attractions. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Alright, I’m a carb fanatic, I admit it. So that pizza and focaccia bread look delightful, even at 9 in the morning! While I’m not from D.C. (and haven’t been there since I was like 12) these look like great places to check out if I’m ever in the area!

    • I went there last year and saw: Dave Matthews Band, DJ Pauly D, Jake Miller, Ludacris, Rise Against, and another band that I can’t remember their name lol It’s fun. We will definitely have to keep in touch so we can plan a meet up 🙂

  3. I’m sharing this with my cousins who are attending school in Madison! I spend most of my summers in Lake Geneva, but I may have to take a trip up to Madison- you also inspired me to check out the botanical gardens near my house- they’re so close but I never think to go. Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. OMG I always forget that you live in Madison!! I haven’t done a few of the things on this list, but I’ve obviously spent my fair share of time at West Towne 🙂 Some of my favorite spots in town is the piano bar on the square and the zoo!

  5. OMG. That pizza looks AHMAZING! Botanical gardens are my favorite! I also love a good children’s museum. Does that sound weird? Haha. I love going to the zoo in Memphis or the Peabody Hotel to see the ducks march in to the lobby!

  6. Exploring in your city is always fun! I live in New York and I still have a lot of places that I want to visit. The café Porta Alba looks like a fun and delicious place to eat!

  7. Oh fun! I love reading about different things in cities I would never normally think: “Let’s go on vacation there.” I’m from Boston and there is so much historical stuff to do there, from walking the Freedom trail, seeing Paul Revere’s grave and more!

  8. Sounds like neat places!! I’ve never been to WI. Maybe one day!! We don’t have a mall. The nearest one is probably 35 minutes away and it’s one of those outdoor mall places. It has great stores, though!

    • I couldn’t live that far from the mall. I’m a city girl. Lol I’ll come down to Texas to see what its like to live the country life 🙂 I’ve always wanted to go anyways 🙂

  9. That pizza!! I need that in my life. I have never traveled to WI but I may need to now! I love Botanical gardens! If I ever visit WI I will have to keep these in mind to go to.

  10. That pizza looks insane! Also, I would rather drive a little longer to get to a better mall 🙂

  11. Sounds like a great city! I have a cousin who lives there but I’ve never been. I think I’ll add it to my list of travel places. That pizza looks really yummy.

  12. ah, a city so close to me. We have been to Madison often – it is a fu city to travel to for the weekend or the day! We haven’t been in awhile though

  13. Looks very fun. I have never been to Wisconsin but hoping to do a road trip in that direction in the springtime.
