When I first started to blog years ago I started out with Blogger like any other blogger would have started. Then I decided to take the leap last summer to switch to WordPress. Of course when I first started I had no clue what I was doing or what plugins I needed for my blog.
Of course the only way you can access WordPress plugins is if you’re self hosted. The plugins I use control most of what happens on my blog. Everyday I’m reading about new plugins that can help improve my blog. Today I’m going to share with you my favorite WordPress plugin apps.
This is the “social media” sharing buttons you see either in my post or on my sidebar. This one is my favorite because it makes it easier for my readers to be able to share my posts on social media.
Reduce Bounce Rate
This app is connected to Google Analytics. Great way to actually see your bounce rate and help make sure your bounce rate isn’t too high.
Revive Old Posts
LOVE LOVE LOVE this plugin. I’m not always active on Twitter 24/7 or I sometimes forget to schedule tweets for my blog posts on Twitter. So this plugin helps with sharing my old posts without having to be active on Twitter. It also shares old posts.
One of the popular plugins right now for WordPress. Every person using WordPress should have this. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is so important for your blog. Yoast SEO makes it easy to optimize my posts to make sure search engines are finding them. Which is something you want for your blog. When you’re writing your post, it looks to see if you have used the title of your blog post in the post. Once it gives you the green light your post is ready to be published.
WordPress Editorial Calendar
I love being able to have a calendar on WordPress that I can look at and see what posts I have scheduled for the month. The Editorial Calendar makes it possible to see all your posts and drag and drop them to manage your blog.
