Oh how many of you suffer from insomnia or have troubles sleeping every now and then? I DO! It’s part of my anxiety/depression. I’ll have nights where I’m falling asleep as early as 830pm or 9pm then I have nights where I can’t sleep at all, so the next day I’m a crabby mama.
I’ve thought about taking sleeping pills (over the counter) but I wanted to try all natural methods before I start doing that.
So today I’m going to share with you some helpful tips on How I Avoid a Sleepless Night.
Warm showers – I love taking warm showers and just using my favorite soap called Tranquilizer. It’s made from Lavendar Essential Oil. Enchanting lavender flowers and shea subdue with a heavenly scent that calms both mind and body. It smells amazing. I use it on my baby niece when I give her baths on the days my sister has to work until late and its helped her fall asleep peacefully.
Bubble Baths – I can’t express this enough. To me bubble baths are the best way to unwind and relax. Its my “me time”. For this I use my Sleepy Sleep bath salts.
Calming Essential Oil – My blog bestie Sami (Be Mindful, You’re Creative) had a giveaway on her blog a while back which I won and I received some Piping Rock essential oils and one of them was the Calming Oil. I have Brian rub this on my shoulder and around my neck after my shower. Not kidding you guys this knocks me out so quick. It takes me like 10 mins to fall asleep. It’s amazing.
P.S first time customers get to save $10 on orders over $40 or $5 under $40.
Disconnecting – Thankfully iPhone has the option to put a “Do Not Disturb” on my phone so as soon as turns 9pm I won’t be able to see my phone light up letting me know I have notifications. I can lay in bed and not have to worry about the outside world.
These are my ways of avoiding a sleepless night. It’s been working for over 3 months now.
