  1. I saw this post and had to read it. I am in a phase of many sleepless nights. Could use some help, but sometimes essential odors don’t smell good to me.

  3. Ooooh these are excellent tips. I’ve had some trouble sleeping recently (sucky) and I’ve been taking tylenol PM or something to help with it, but I don’t want to get addicted since that’s a whole other problem of its own! xx adaatude.com

    • I use to take the Advil PM years ago and then I saw that they can become addicting so I stopped taking them and just dealt with the insomnia but I’m glad I found some products that would help me with falling asleep.

  4. I was going to say lavender oil but you’ve got that covered. Have you tried yoga? I know there are specific stretches that help you relax and get ready for bed. Maybe even journal whatever is on your mind right before you go to bed.

  5. These are great ways to avoid sleepless nights! Essential oils are my personal favourite, and I totally agree with the unplugging!

  6. Im all about the warm showers + lavender before bed too!! I need to enable my Do Not Disturb though. I get texts from the East Coast entirely too early ;/

    • Good for you keeping her phone downstairs. I know majority of my problems was me constantly looking/checking my phone. I didn’t want to take medication because I’m already on antidepressants.

  8. I need to do a lot more of disconnecting before I go to bed. I know that is what ends up keeping me up later than normal (like tonight LOLOL)

  9. Thank you for these tips…wow once I hit “middle aged” the insomnia started – and I deal with anxiety, etc. too – unfortunately I have to rely on sleeping pills…. at least for now but you gave great suggestions…. I love how the warm shower makes me feel and truly disconnecting from everything at the end of the night helps, too!

  10. Every few weeks, I have bouts of insomnia. I think a major issue is my afternoon naps, which I have started to delete, the other is disconnecting. I have used pillow sprays in the past and they seem to work.

  11. I probably need to do all of these in one night just to get some rest! My mind is always going and going and going, which means I never get any good rest.

  12. Awesome tips! I love taking my showers before bed. I find that it relaxes me and makes me sleepy 🙂
