  1. I definitely agree with some of these! I buy my clothes at Target and Old Navy for the most part… unless it’s a suit. I do the same with shoes. I only buy Bath & Body Works candles when they’re on super sale and then I stock up! I am with you on most high-end makeup, too. I will splurge a couple of times a year on something I love, but otherwise it’s drugstore for me!

  2. I’m with you on some of these. I do shop at some more expensive stores for clothes and shoes, because I’ve learned it lasts me YEARS, but I only buy things on sale…never ever full price. I have some sweaters and boots that are classic staples and I’ve had for almost 8-10 years! Same with most things- I very rarely pay full price for things unless it’s necessary.

  3. I’m with you on most everything except steak and candles. I love both of them, maybe they’re even guilty pleasures. I do always buy the B&BW candles on sale though. The expensive clothes, shoes & bedding-I’ll never be able to spend a ton of money on. I can’t justify it. I do have one pair of $70 Under Armour tennis shoes but that’s because my husband bought them for me. And I love my $40 Target bedding more than anything else I looked at when I was trying to pick something out.

  4. Haha omg I feel like we could be best friends. Agree with you on SO MANY LEVELS!!! Expensive clothes? Screw that. And I would NEVER spend more than $5 on a candle. I don’t even like Bath and Body Works lol. I love that you are a beauty blogger and you don’t preach for that high end shit. That’s why I love you and your blog! You’re so genuine and down to earth. Happy weekend babes!

    • We could be best friends! xo
I can’t go in Bath & Body works lol I have allergies. I would have a sneeze attack lol I love that you’re fashion blogger that shops at places that have reasonably priced items like Charlotte Russe xoxo hope you have a good weekend.

  5. Totally on board with you except for the candles. There is definitely a difference in quality and burn time! I pretty much only shop at Target and Old Navy for clothes and expensive makeup-forget it! There is always a dupe!

  6. Totally agree with a lot of these! I treat myself to a fancy cup of coffee every Friday! Everyday would get super expensive!!!

  8. Definitely with you on some of these! Clothes and shoes and makeup though… I spend money on those things. I feel like there’s a big difference in quality and fit. And I also worry about where/how those things are made and whether they’re made fairly and responsibly to the person in the factory who physically made it. Steak though, I don’t like it so I don’t buy it either!

  9. I hate spending money unless I have to! Since reducing my closet, however, I’ve started buying more quality clothing that lasts and ends up saving me a few dollars because I have it so long, but it’s worth it for me. There’s something satisfying about wearing through quality clothing till you can’t. I’m just surprised that I don’t get bored with my outfits – I thought I would when I first started!

  10. I am quite cheap about most things. I spend most of my money on running, running clothes, running races, etc. And food! I love food. But I have to say I bought a $100+ pair of jeans from Lucky Brand and I love them! I have had them now for probably close to 6 years and I swear they are like the pants in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants because my sister got the same pair and we have very different body types but we both loved them! Sometimes it does pay to spend a little extra for quality.

  11. What a fun post idea! I’m super different when it comes to shopping haha! But I see where you’re coming from on expensive coffee – I don’t drink it, and even though I love Starbucks, they are ridiculous when it comes to $$!

  12. I agree with you my frugal sister! There are some things I will not settle for less but not fru fru stuff.

  13. I’m with you on the makeup! haha I was just with a friend the other day who bought a $45 foundation and a $20 lip stick. Ummm no thank you. My foundation costs $10 and my lip stains cost about $8. Still gives me the same look lol

  14. I dont buy super expensive clothing either and if it is expensive, I will wait until its on super sale because I can’t justify the price. The only thing I do splurge on is handbags and sometimes shoes.

    xoxo, Jenny

  16. The recent trend of diptique or however it’s spelled candles is blogging is absurd to me. I grew up in a home where Yankee Candles where common so I can even justify $20-$25 but $80+??? Especially when nobody can seem to tell me what’s so special about them?

  18. Lmao Omg girl you kill me but you nailed it. I’m the same when it comes to clothes. I go to Kohl’s, Target and Aeropostale when they have 30%-50% off everything in the store. I’m the same with candles, makeup and house stuff. The only thing that I have splurged on for the first time in my life was a Michael Kors handbag but I paid almost half of what it cost during a friends & family sale at Macy’s.
