COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation

COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation

A few weeks ago I did a little Ulta haul and I decided to purchase the COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation. When I first heard about this foundation (in June when it launched), I wasn’t sure what to expect because I never really liked any of the COVERGIRL foundations. They just never worked well on my skin. As someone who has oily skin, it’s hard to find foundations that work with my skin.

About the COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation

COVERGIRL claims that the Vitalist Healthy Elixir foundation is a vitamin-infused formulawith a special antioxidant and vitamin complex. It’s a hydrating foundation formula and the foundation is buildable to your liking of coverage. Also includes SPF20. With the SPF, antixiodant, and vitamins formula it’s suppose to give you a healthy looking skin.

The Vitalist Healthy Elixir foundation is an oil-free liquid foundation that will give you a light-weight, full coverage. Because the foundation is liquid base, I noticed that the foundation is NOT runny at all. When you are applying the foundation and you want to build it up to your liking be aware that you will need to set it and it will take some time to dry. The foundation is comfortable to wear, easy to blend with a beauty blender and brush.

I’m a pump girl, so I was happy to see that the foundation did have a pump. I don’t like foundations that don’t have a pump or something to dispense the foundation. The packaging is clear, so you can see how much you have left in the bottle.

The foundation comes in 10 different shades at Ulta and it cost $11.99. You can check the COVERGIRL website which has more shades.

Before & After

COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation

My overall opinion on this foundation? It has a STRONG floral or perfumy scent. So if you have sensitive skin, I wouldn’t recommend this. Because I am oily skin, I did use a mattifying primer with this foundation and my skin looked great after a few hours of wearing it. I made sure to set the foundation with a mattifying setting powder as well. I really liked how this made my skin looked and I will definitely be using this foundation more often.
