Tis’ the season for a runny nose. And trust me when I say this, my home has gotten hit already with a cold. First, it was Landon, then me, then Rylan and now Brian has it. THE JOYS! I swear this time of the year is the worst. It feels like everyone is always sick, especially the kids. When winter is here, I like to make sure we’re stocked up with essentials that I know we need.
Home Essentials for the Winter
Humidifier – Because we live in an apartment and we also live in Wisconsin, we make sure that we pull out our humidifier during the winter months to ensure our apartment stays moist. Otherwise our nose, lips, and throat are always dry and of course, can lead to bloody noises for my kids.
Essential Oils + Diffuser – I recently got into using a diffuser and I love it. We only use it at night with the lavender scent to help with sleeping.
Disinfecting Wipes – I use this religiously. I try to make sure that I wipe down anything that either one of us has touched when we’re feeling under the weather.
Kleenex – I don’t know how many times we’ve run out of boxes of Kleenex because we’re all constantly using especially when we’re sick or if our allergies are acting up. So to stock up, I like to use Amazon.com to order in bulk. You can pretty much stock up on any home essentials through Amazon.
The good thing about buying in bulk through Amazon is that you can save up to $2.50 OFF in coupons and 15% when you subscribe & Save. PLUS not only are you saving money but when you purchase items from Kimberly-Clark (Scott, Cottonelle, Viva, and Kleenex) you’ll be protecting nature on Forest Stewardship Council label.
For 50 years, WWF (World Wildlife Fund) has been protecting the future of nature. The world’s leading conservation organization, WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by 1.2 million members in the United States and close to 5 million globally.
Kimberly-Clark Corporation, WWF and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) announced a unique three-year agreement designed to raise awareness of the importance of choosing products that use fiber from responsibly managed forests. FSC® is considered a “gold standard” in forest certification and assures that these products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, and social benefits.
