We are almost to the weekend and to be honest I am ready for it. We’re supposed to have finally 40-degree weather. That’s like a heat wave after the negative and windchill weather we’re having. Today is -12 but it feels like -64. It’s insane how crazy this weather has been. But with spending all this time inside, I am able to sit down and actually create makeup looks. I have been wanting to share my everyday smokey eye makeup look.

Everyday Smokey Eye Makeup Routine:
It’s one of my go-to makeup looks because it’s not full-blown glam and it doesn’t contain any shimmers. It’s an all matte look. I also used only 1 eyeshadow palette to create this look and I’m sure a lot of people probably own the palette. If not, you’re missing out. The eyeshadow palette I used was the Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte eyeshadow palette. This palette I’ve had for a LONG time. I love the colors in the palette and how they’re very versatile for everyday wear.
- The only colors I used were:
- Crease: Wanderer + Dreamer
- Outer Eyelid: Multi-Tasker
- Eyelid: For of Nature
When I create this look, I want to ensure I am keeping simple because I want to be able to do my eye look and go on about my day. The Ardell Lashes – Double Up Wispies lashes definitely make this eye look more glam without the full eye look. I also don’t like to use much on my bottom eyelids.

As part of my everyday makeup routine, I like to keep it very subtle when it comes to the face. I like to use the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation because not only is it lightweight but it also gives a very glowy look without feeling cakey. Because the Light Wonder foundation does give a glowy look and I am oily I like to use a matte primer which is the Cover FX matte primer.

When it comes to the lips I like to use a nude color. My go-to lipstick has been the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Lipstick (Pillow Talk) and other times I’ve used the MAC Cosmetics (Velvet Teddy & Kinda Sexy), ColourPop Cosmetics Lip Creme (What’s Your Sign), PUR Cosmetics Nude Lip Kit and of course Urban Decay Vice Lipstick (Stark Naked).
