It’s the first of February which means, bring on all things Valentine’s Day. Although Brian and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day per se (we just do dinner). I do love all things pink and red for Valentine’s Day. I also love rockin’ the sparkly eye looks. So for this makeup look, I wanted to use a new eyeshadow palette I received from Ga-De Cosmetics. It’s their Glamhour eyeshadow palette and when I saw the palette, it immediately gave me Valentine’s Day vibes.
For this post, I am going to share my opinion on the palette and everything else I received from Ga-De Cosmetics. But with that, I am showing the makeup look I created using the products.
GA-DE is a modern cosmetic brand that has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years, they specialize in four principal categories of products: makeup, skin care, body care and fragrances. They recently started to ship internationally since they are not based in the United States.
Let’s talk about the Glamhour Eyeshadow palette. The palette contains 8 highly pigmented eyeshadow shades, with a variety of matte, metallic and shimmery. According to their website, the palette was inspired big city nights filled with glitz and glamour. The colors in this palette are sensual red tones, sparkling bronzed shades, and a glittery black.
I love the colors that come in the palette. They’re all beautiful but the very red glittery shade was very chunky when I was swatching the color. As you can see in the picture. Other than that, the other shades are good. Another thing I didn’t like is that they don’t have names. I love when eyeshadow palettes have names.
I’m very picky when it comes to mascara because I love mascaras that are very black, gives me volume and length. The Volumetric mascara is extremely black and you do get some volume on your lashes. One thing I do love about this mascara is that no matter how many times you layer it, it’s not going to look chunky. So you can build it up to your liking.
The eyeliner is a very intense black. Like super black. It glides on smoothly on the waterline and it’s creamy. The only issue I had with it, is how thick it felt on my waterline.
I am a fan of liquid highlighters. Especially when I want a very glowy look. I can easily apply after my foundation or mix it with my foundation or even use it as a primer if I want a very glowy look. The Everglow Liquid Highlighter is an ultra-lightweight but buildable fluid that blends effortlessly on your skin. It also minimizes imperfections giving you this beautiful radiant look. I definitely suggest using this.
This palette reminds me of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit. Which I still have and love. The colors are so pigmented and beautiful. You instantly get that “MY HIGHLIGHT POPPIN'” vibe. I love it.
I am not a fan of lip gloss. I love the packaging for the lip gloss but I just didn’t care for it. I don’t see myself using it ever. The lip gloss comes with a mirror and lighted tube so it’s easy to apply the lip gloss in the dark.
Here’s the makeup look I created using the eyeshadow palette, mascara, liquid highlighter, and metallic highlighter. The palette is a beautiful palette but I wish they had names on them, also wish they got rid of the black and added like a brown or darker red shade. I just don’t see myself using the black.
