I am happy to be sharing a fun and easy half up messy bun tutorial. This warm weather makes it a bit difficult to have long hair and wear it down. So, in order for me to comfortably wear it down in this heat, I have been rockin’ this half up messy bun look. The first step to create this look is to make sure you’re using the right products. For this style, I’m using some of my favorite products which I’ve actually talked about it on the blog before.
If you’re wondering what product that is, it’s the Suave Professionals® Keratin Infusion Shampoo and Conditioner from Walmart (and the bottles are 40% more free for a limited time – more on that later!). The reason I love using this hair product is because it seriously does help with all the humidity. The shampoo and conditioner control frizz for up 48 hours and it gives you a shiny, soft hair so it’s easy to style.

My hair definitely gets frizzy because of the hot weather in the summer but using the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion products has definitely helped with controlling it (and of course helping to give me beautiful hairstyle to rock).
Easy Half Up Messy Bun Tutorial
For this hairstyle, you’re only going to need an elastic band and bobby pins. You can either leave your hair straight or curl it like I did. I personally love doing this style with my hair curled.
Step 1: After using the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion shampoo and conditioner and drying your hair, you’re going to part your hair in half. I personally don’t like to grab too much hair.
Step 2: Grab your favorite hair elastic band and put your hair in a ponytail.
Step 3: You’re going to twist the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic band like a bun.
Step 4: Add the bobby pins to hold your bun. I pulled out the hair a bit to make it look a little bigger. And that’s it, you’re done! I did pull a few pieces in the front so it looked more “romantic”. Of course, add some hair spray to help your hair stay in place as a final touch.
I highly recommend trying out the hair products in the Suave Professionals Gold line. Suave has upgraded its 12.6 oz. bottles to 18 oz. bottles at Walmart for a limited time. Which means you can now get 40% more product at no extra cost (the price is still $2.94 per bottle!) thanks to Walmart’s everyday low prices. I’d say that’s bargain shopping. Head to your local Walmart to try out the product and let me know what you think!
