6 Best Dry Shampoo for Brunettes

I love not having to wash my hair 2-3x a week. Especially now that I have hair extensions. Since I only wash my hair once a week, I love being able to use dry shampoo in between washes. Normally for me, I use dry shampoo on day 5, 6, or 7 of not washing. It all depends on how greasy my hair is or looks. I personally don’t like to overdo it on the dry shampoo. Cause then it can make your hair feel extremely heavy and stiff because of product buildup.

6 Best Dry Shampoo for Brunettes

Please keep in mind that I am sharing my top 6 dry shampoos that have worked amazingly with my hair. I do have hair extensions in my hair but I don’t apply dry shampoo on it just at my roots.

IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo

I’ve talked about this dry shampoo before on my stories and I can’t help but love it so much. It smells so good too. As someone with brunette hair, I love how it doesn’t leave that white residue. Which can be a pain for us brunettes. This dry shampoo is a heavy-duty detoxifying charcoal powder that helps lift dirt and build-up from your hair while absorbing oil and sweat. Another great thing about it is that it contains calming white tea powder to help cool, calm your scalp and strengthen hair follicles. It is vegan, cruelty-free, and provides UV protection.

Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo

I first tried this dry shampoo last year when Drybar had sent it to me and I was immediately hooked to it. I love how it smells and I love that I don’t have to worry about white residue on my hair. Although this dry shampoo does make my hair feel a little stiff at the roots, and it’s probably because it provides volume, I still use it because of how good it works. It contains micro-fine rice powders to help absorb excess oils and odors from your hair and it becomes translucent to naturally blend in with your hair colors. The golden root extract helps increase moisture to your hair to prevent any breakage or dryness.

Biotera Ultra Color Care Dry Shampoo

This dry shampoo helps with removing oils and odor from the roots but also reviving your hair color. Makes your hair color more vibrant. It’s meant for those with colored hair like myself. Doesn’t make your hair feel heavy or stiff. It’s fortified with scientifically-advanced Tri-Soy Complex to provide exceptional protection, strength, and moisture to your hair.

Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo Dark Tones

You guys know I love Moroccanoil. I was happy to see when they had dry shampoo specifically for brunettes. I knew I had to try it out and fell in love with it. The Moroccanoil Dark Tones contains ultra-fine rice starch which helps absorbs excess oil and product buildup from your hair. It does contain argan oil to help protect your hair from UV rays.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Hint of Color

I had a hard time liking the original one of this because it would leave the white residue in my hair but now that they have the Hint of Color “naturally brunette” or “divine dark” I am able to enjoy this dry shampoo without the white cast.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo

Another great dry shampoo when your hair is looking flat and dull. This helps deodorize your hair and give your hair volume. Unlike the other dry shampoos I did share, this one doesn’t contain any aluminum or talc. Amika also has a great Silken Up Dry Conditioner to detangle, smooth and restore softness to your hair.

Now tell me, if you’re a brunette, what’s your favorite dry shampoo?
