Time to start getting your glow on. With it being officially spring, I am ready for warmer weather although mother nature is not giving us that just yet in Wisconsin. Over the weekend I decided to clean up my vanity and see what beauty items I was going to be using a lot this season. I have to say I pulled out 9 items that I knew were going to be on repeat.

9 Beauty Items I Will Be Using This Season
Facial Tanning Drops
Although I am naturally tan and tan really good in the summer months. I still love to have glowy skin. I started to use the Tanologist Face Drops with my facial moisturizer and it’s been a game-changer. I love that it gives me a sun-kissed glow on my face without looking orange. I definitely plan to use this a lot this season. [P.S. I do love their self-tanner as well]
Face Palette
Having a face palette is amazing because you get a bronzer, blush, and highlight in one. I have been using the Physicians Formula x Weylie Hoang palette. I love that the bronzer in this palette works with my skin tone beautifully. The blushes and highlights in this palette are so gorgeous.
Lip Oil
Don’t forget about your lip oil. Something I’ve been using for the past month because of dry lips. I definitely get dry lips in the summer because of the heat so having this on hand will help keep my lips moisturized. The Wander Beauty is one of the products I have been using for the last few days. I love that it comes in a variety of shades. I have the “skinny dip”.
Matte Primer
This is a given. I have to use matte primers when it’s warmer out. The current favorite primer is the Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Mattifying + Pore Reducing Makeup + Skincare Primer. What I love about this primer is that it helps not only keep your skin matte but also helps reduce the appearance of large pores and fine lines. It’s a primer + skincare in one.
Glowy Foundation
Notice how I said GLOWY and NOT DEWY! I can’t do a dewy makeup routine. I’m already oily but using a matte primer will help control my oils while using a glowy foundation. The best foundation to achieve glowy skin without looking dewy is definitely the Revlon PhotoReady Candid Moisture Glow Foundation.
Matte Lipstick
Are you shocked this is on my list? Cause you shouldn’t be. I love a good matte lipstick and definitely plan to keep using them throughout the summer. Using a matte lipstick is long-lasting but it’s not as drying as a matte liquid lipstick. Lip crayons like the ones from Maybelline or L’Oreal are great options to use.
Styling Creme
Next month my hair extensions are coming out for the summer and I plan to rock my natural curls. One of my current favorite styling creme is definitely the Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother. It helps hydrates, moisturizes, and speeds up blow-dry times while smoothing and eliminating frizz for up to 72 hours. It’s definitely an essential for me to use as the weather gets warmer.
Toner & SPF
This is a must for me because I have oily skin. Using a good toner and SPF moisturizer is a routine for me before I apply my makeup. My two favorite brands to use are definitely GlamGlow and Supergoop. They have so many great options for SPF. You can also check out my post about moisturizers that contain SPF.
