Creating a routine for yourself as an adult is pretty easy unless you’re like me who tends to get nights where I can’t sleep so my morning routine gets all screwed up. But when it comes to my kids, that can be hard sometimes, especially in the morning during the summer. Both my boys love to sleep in (I mean what kid doesn’t?). Now that school is about to begin, we are going back to a morning routine.
During the wedding planning process, I’ve gone back and forth on whether or not I wanted to use real flowers or artificial flowers. After many pro’s and cons, we decided to use artificial flowers. There are many reasons why we decided to use artificial flowers which you can read below. Searching for a vendor who used artificial flowers that didn’t look fake was quite the challenge.
For the past few months, I have been an Amazon addict. It’s no joke. I shop for pretty much anything on here just to get a good deal because I am cheap. And to have things delivered to my house versus me having to go to the store (I’m just lazy sometimes, don’t judge). I will say that a few purchases from Amazon were a FAIL and the return policy suck (at least I think so with some brands on there), I still managed to get a few items from there I truly LOVED and continue to repurchase. A few of the items are house, beauty, or office supplies.
We only have 415 days until we say our “I Do’s”. So far the wedding planning process has been pretty easy and not stressful. With having over a year to plan our wedding, we are slowly getting to check off things like booking our wedding photographer. Before I even got engaged I knew who was going to be our wedding photographer because I went to high school with her, seen her work and we even did a collaboration session together for my blog plus her portfolio.
Brian and I have been engaged for about 7 months and we wanted to wait until summer to celebrate our engagement. This past weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating our engagement with our close friends and family. It was seriously perfect and fun. I loved it. It was also the FIRST TIME our families met! We definitely don’t know how our families never met during the 3.5 years we have been together.
Thanks to Kalahari Resorts for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions and thoughts presented are entirely my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that support JASMINE MARIA BLOG! One of our favorite things to do in the summer is spending our days either at the pool or waterpark. It’s such a great way to have fun, stay cool but to also spend that time with each other. In the summer, I don’t have my boys as often as I would like. So when I do have that time with them I like to make sure we are doing something I know they’re going to love and remember.
Hope you all had a good weekend. Brian and I did our engagement photo session with Hart & Fig Photography yesterday. Audrey and I have known each other since high school and I have done a collaboration with her before (which you can see here) and originally I wanted to do something in the fall but to be honest I didn’t want to wait another few months to get our engagement photos done.
