During the wedding planning process, I’ve gone back and forth on whether or not I wanted to use real flowers or artificial flowers. After many pro’s and cons, we decided to use artificial flowers. There are many reasons why we decided to use artificial flowers which you can read below. Searching for a vendor who used artificial flowers that didn’t look fake was quite the challenge.
We only have 415 days until we say our “I Do’s”. So far the wedding planning process has been pretty easy and not stressful. With having over a year to plan our wedding, we are slowly getting to check off things like booking our wedding photographer. Before I even got engaged I knew who was going to be our wedding photographer because I went to high school with her, seen her work and we even did a collaboration session together for my blog plus her portfolio.
Brian and I have been engaged for about 7 months and we wanted to wait until summer to celebrate our engagement. This past weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating our engagement with our close friends and family. It was seriously perfect and fun. I loved it. It was also the FIRST TIME our families met! We definitely don’t know how our families never met during the 3.5 years we have been together.
Hope you all had a good weekend. Brian and I did our engagement photo session with Hart & Fig Photography yesterday. Audrey and I have known each other since high school and I have done a collaboration with her before (which you can see here) and originally I wanted to do something in the fall but to be honest I didn’t want to wait another few months to get our engagement photos done.
As an engaged woman, I swear there is nothing better than planning your wedding. And while it’s important to enjoy some blissful time as a newly engaged couple, the tasks of actually planning and preparing for a wedding start quite quickly. There’s the dress, the invitations, the bachelorette party, the shower… and don’t forget about your registry!
Photography via Lake Windsor Country Club I don’t know about you but finding a venue not only for the ceremony but for my reception can be hard. When you’re wedding planning, you envision how you want your wedding to be like. From the ceremony details to the reception details. While on the hunt for finding a ceremony we came across a few hiccups. See I wanted a church ceremony that’s how I wanted and dreamed of what my ceremony would be.
