Curly Hair Routine

Curly Hair Routine

You guys asked for this and here it is! I am sharing with you guys my CURRENT curly hair routine. I have been fully embracing my curls and I am extremely happy with myself. When it comes to styling my curls, I use to finger curl each individual strand in my hair. It was so time-consuming in my opinion and I knew there had to be something better when it came to styling my hair.

And there was! After researching different ways of styling my curly hair, I settled and bought a Denman Brush. I’ve seen videos and saw great reviews/results from others. I knew I had to give it a try! It was a GAME CHANGER when it came to my styling routine. Normally it would take me about an hour to style my curly hair and this cut it down for me by 20 minutes. Below you’ll find my Curly Hair Routine video. I hope you find it helpful.

Now let’s talk about the products I’ve been using. My goal when it comes to trying out products is to share with you my thoughts on it. For hair reference, I have 3B curls and my hair is dry. I do use a hair mask weekly and you can see my Top 10 Hair Masks that work with Curly Hair!

Shampoo + Conditioner

I have been using the Pureology Hydrate shampoo + conditioner. I have to use a hydrating shampoo + conditioner because I have a dry scalp in the winter months. This means my hair gets flaky and itchy, so using this shampoo + conditioner helps my scalp and hair.

Leave-In Conditioner

I have been loving the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner. It gives my hair intense moisture leaving my hair soft and is easy to manage when I style it. It also helps with split-ends and reduces frizz. It’s safe to use on all hair types!

Styling Cream

When it comes to using a styling cream I use the Bounce Curl Clump & Define Cream. A small amount goes a long way. If you overdo it, your hair won’t like it. I made that mistake the first time I tried this. It provides my hair with a light hold while also providing my hair with volume, softness, and long-lasting curls. [USE CODE: JASMINE10]

Curl Booster Gel

When I first received the Cocunat Curl Booster, I was a bit unsure of what it does but after doing my research I realized this was a gel! But when I apply this gel it doesn’t feel crunchy or hard. It soaks into your hair so fast without leaving your hair looking matte. It helps softens & loosens the curls without any frizz.

Mousse

I love when my hair has volume so adding a bit of a mousse definitely helps my hair achieve that volume that I want. The Bumble & Bumble B.B. Curl Mousse gives my hair a bouncy curl and some definition. It’s lightweight too!

Oil

When I am done diffusing I will add some hair oil. I prefer the Olaplex Bonding Oil. A small amount goes a long way. It gives my hair a little shine. It also helps break down any crunchy curl if I have any.
