Drugstore Foundations for Oily Skin

Drugstore Foundations for Oily Skin

Let’s talk foundation and oily skin. If you’re like me we have to use foundation that works well with our oily skin. Now I’m not a huge fan of spending money on high end foundations so today I’m sharing with you my Drugstore Foundations for Oily Skin. These are my top 3 and go to’s!

NYX Cosmetics Stay Matte but Not Flat

This foundation I’ve purchased twice now. It’s seriously amazing. This product gives you full coverage with a matte finish. The foundation is oil-free and water based which is perfect for my skin.

Maybelline Matte + Poreless

When I first purchased this I was a little hesitant only because I’ve heard good and bad reviews on it but when I tried, I had no issues at all with it. This foundation is super light weight, it also contains micro-powders to absorb oils from your face to keep the foundation looking matte and poreless. It also doesn’t clog your pores.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte

I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of beauty bloggers using this because this foundation is seriously good. The only issue I had was the lack of shades they offered. I have to mix #109+#105 in order to get the perfect shade for my skin.  It gives you a matte finish that won’t fall flat. It’s air-light, long wearing, creamy and goes on smooth to hide the imperfections and give a clear complexion.

There you have it, these are my favorite drusgtore foundations for oily skin. Do you have oily skin? What are your favorite foundations?

I will have to try and see if I can get the L’Oreal one here in Germany – it sounds awesome! Thank you!

Thanks for this! I am almost out of my beloved Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation, and have been wanting to test out some drugstore foundations. If you had to choose one, would you go with NYX or L’Oreal?

I’ve never tried the NYX one. Will have to check it out! 🙂

I love NYX products and I owe you thanks for that! I love that you use and blog about products that everyone can find and afford. Don’t get me wrong. I splurge from time to time on make up but most of the time I feel guilty for spending that much on make up.

I love NYX products, but have never tried their foundation…definitely need to! I tend to buy high end foundations since I have troublesome skin, but I will really check this out!

My go-to is covergirl, but I love Elf and NYC foundations and I love learning of new, inexpensive ones. Thanks for sharing!

I totally have oily skin! The only good thing about it is that I don’t look my age of 43. I use Younique Liquid Touch Powder Finish Foundation. It’s a little more expensive but totally worth it! Thanks for these alternatives.

The Maybelline matte and poreless is one of my faves. I always want to try the NYX one but they never have my shade in store or online at Ulta and I don’t want to order from their site because the shipping is so pricey.

Thanks for these recommendations! I like NYX for being cruelty free and I like that you mention it’s oil free, and water based. I will look for it next time I go shopping :))
