A few weeks e.l.f. Cosmetics sent me their Chromatic Eyeshadow palettes in a PR box. I have used e.l.f. Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes before but these Chromatic eyeshadow palettes are different from their other palettes. I normally don’t share any of the e.l.f. Cosmetics new releases on the blog UNLESS I am in love with them.
These palettes run for $12 each. Each palette contains 7 different shades ranging from matte, shimmers, and metallics. What makes these eyeshadow palettes unique is that the eyeshadows are infused with vitamin E, Meadowfoam Oil, and jojoba oil. I think what I like about these palettes is that you can create different eye looks without having to use another palette.
This palette is probably my favorite palette from e.l.f. Cosmetics because of the warm rust and mauve shades with a pop of lilac. As someone who has brown eyes, purple eyeshadow palettes are best for our eyes.
When I saw this palette I was a bit nervous because of the colors. It contains shades of blue/green with a few neutrals to balance the range. But I was actually able to create a beautiful look without it looking so intense and the colors worked amazingly with my skin tone.
Overall Opinion – The Birds of Paradise was a lot smoother to work with and the pigmentation was better than the Posh Peacock. I had quite the troubles with a few of the shades from the Posh Peacock palette. I also wish that the palettes had names for their shades because it would be a lot easier to identify them.
Do I think it’s worth the $12? For it being an affordable drugstore palette, YES! I hope they create more Chromatic palettes leaning towards warm or cool tones.
Have you tried these palettes from e.l.f. Cosmetics?
