One of our favorite things to do in the summer is spending our days either at the pool or waterpark. It’s such a great way to have fun, stay cool but to also spend that time with each other. In the summer, I don’t have my boys as often as I would like. So when I do have that time with them I like to make sure we are doing something I know they’re going to love and remember.
Family Getaway at Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells
We booked a mini family getaway to the Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells. It’s only 45 minutes away from where we live so this was the perfect getaway for us. What we love about the Kalahari Resorts is that it has an outdoor waterpark, indoor waterpark, and indoor theme park. Thanks to mother nature, we had to enjoy the indoor waterpark and theme park because it was raining on the day we decided to go. But you know what? We still made the best of it.
Our room was the Dessert Hut which was located on the 4th floor. It included the 2 queen size beds PLUS a pull out sofa. Which was perfect even though the boys shared a bed. It also had a mini-fridge, microwave, small table with 2 chairs, and flat screen tv.
What I love the most about this waterpark is that it caters to kids, not just adults. Although there are height restrictions, kids still had a section for them to swim, go on slides and play. After a few hours of play time in the pool, we decided to get their pizza. It was so good and I am picky when it comes to pizza. Which I highly recommend. After dinner, we took the boys to the indoor theme park and we let them go crazy in the arcade area. But the most exciting part was the dessert. They had two places for desserts.
If you are planning a getaway, I would highly recommend taking a trip to the Kalahari Resorts.
