One of our favorite things to do at home is to have family movie nights. We love being able to have dinner, pick a few movies that we all will enjoy and of course have popcorn. But sometimes we do like to go a little overboard especially for the boys. Like creating a popcorn station. It’s a great way for the boys to grab the popcorn and put whatever candy they want into their boxes. Sometimes that means all the candies.
Normally we use our cute little popcorn maker but I was sent a variety of microwavable popcorn from Quinn Snacks to try out. I was excited to see how different this microwavable popcorn was compared to other brands. Because for me, I typically don’t like microwavable popcorn. If you’re unfamiliar with Quinn Snacks, let me give you a snippet of the company.
About Quinn Snacks
The brand is named after the Co-Founders Kristy & Coulter’s son named Quinn. Kristy, wanted to clean up her favorite childhood snacks for her own kids so she set on a mission to take on the snack industry. What makes Quinn Snacks different from all other brands is that they don’t use GMOs, preservatives, or artificial flavors.
Quinn’s Pure Pop(TM) bag is the first in the industry and is chemical, plastic and susceptor free. The paper used in the Pure Pop bag is compostable. Another fun fact is that the ingredient pouch(s) is applied after popping the kernels, meaning that the oils and butter are never microwaved. As a result, the oils and natural ingredients are never heated which leads to a cleaner, delicious tasting popcorn.
Quinn has a variety of different flavors which you can see here but they did send me their White Cheddar & Sea Salt, Parmesan & Rosemary and Movie Night Extra Butter. So for our movie night, we decided to make all three and make it a fun taste testing. In the picture, the popcorns look alike but flavor-wise, WOW were they different. You definitely needed to be careful and remind yourself which one was which.
Because I do have picky eaters, the boys liked the Movie Night Extra Butter the most. Brian and I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Parmesan & Rosemary which was a flavor we were definitely intrigued by. We’ve never had a flavor like that on our popcorn. Brian did like the White Cheddar, personally, for me, I don’t like cheddar on my popcorn. So I enjoyed the Parmesan & Rosemary instead.
