Review: Flora & Curl Stylers

Flora & Curl Stylers

I’m back with another curly haircare review. I was sent a few products from Flora & Curl and I got so excited to try them out. A few of the products that I was sent were Organic Rose & Honey Leave-In Detangler, Sweet Hibiscus Curl Defining Gel, Sweet Hibiscus Twist & Braid Curl Cream, and Coconut Mint Scalp Refresh Mist. I have tried the hair products 3x (meaning 3 hair washes) and I’m going to give you my honest opinion on them.

Organic Rose & Honey Leave-In Detangler

This leave-in does contain protein, you definitely want to be careful with how much you use. Especially if your hair doesn’t like protein. The 5 key ingredients to this leave-in are organic rose water, honey, coconut oil, oat silk, and ylang ylang.

Overall – I love the product. It was moisturizing, helped with shine, and helped control some of the frizz that was happening over the weekend.

Sweet Hibiscus Curl Defining Gel

If you’re looking for a really good hair gel that’s going to define your curls, this is it. It contains sweet almond oil, hibiscus, rice protein, and marshmallow root. I will say that if the weather is going to be humid, more is better in order to help with the frizz. It does leave a good hard cast on your hair once applied but easy to crunch out. Leaving your hair soft and bouncy with volume.

Sweet Hibiscus Twist & Braid Cream

Alright, this styling cream you have to be very careful. It’s thick and contains protein. You definitely don’t want to add too much because it will weigh down your curls and make it look/feel greasy. It contains sweet almond oil, hibiscus, cocoa butter, mango butter, rice, and aloe vera powder.

There are benefits to using this product in your curly hair routine. Works amazingly if your hair is very dry, it’s going to help boost curl definition, minimizes frizz, and adds shine. Another key thing to remember, this works best for 3/4 type curls.

Coconut Mint Scalp Refresh Mist

I love how this made my scalp feel. I have a dry scalp so using this on my scalp was amazing. You can find this on their site. This is great for itchy, dry, and flaky scalps.

Overall I loved these hair products. I definitely plan to see how this works with other products I love. The hair gel is definitely going to be my go-to.
