Let’s talk about makeup brushes. I’m constantly being asked which brushes I use and which are my favorite. Since I’ve been doing makeup for almost 2 years I’ve come across a few “hits” and a few “ugh this sucks”. But these brushes here are the ones I use daily on myself. Some of these brushes are drugstore and high ends.
I’ll be talking about they what they do and what you can use them for as well. But again you can always use the makeup brushes any way you want to as well.
My Go-To Makeup Brushes:
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush – I use this brush for when I’m using cream contouring products. I love how this blends out the products. Leaves absolutely no streaks.
ELF Complexion Brush – This is a big fluffy brush which I use when I’m using bronzer to warm up my face. It doesn’t apply the bronzer so harsh on my face.
ELF Contouring Brush – I love using this for when I’m contouring my nose but it can also be used if you want to carve out your cheekbones, jawlines and forehead.
Morphe Brushes M310 – I’ve had a hard time finding a fan brush for when applying my highlight but when I received this brush I immediately fell in love with it.
Sigma Beauty F80 – When it comes to liquid foundation I definitely love using this brush. I just love how it makes my foundation look so smooth without any streaks.
Morphe Brushes E4 – Another contouring brush I like to use. It’s definitely a must have.
Real Techniques Setting Brush – If you’re looking to set your powder underneath your eyes definitely get this brush. Fits perfectly in that area.
Morphe Brushes E48 – Just like the real techniques setting brush this brush does the same thing. I just like to alternate between the both.
Morphe Brushes E3 – Powder brush. This is the fluffiest and soft powder brush I’ve ever used. I love this brush so much.
L.A.B 2 Beauty Blush Brush – I’ve used so many blush brushes but this one I’ve found myself going back to. I just love how the brush just applies the blush to my cheeks.
Crown C224 Concealer Brush – I got this brush in one of my ipsy bags and at first I didn’t think I would need it like ever because I use my beauty blender to blend out my concealer but when I do my cut crease eye looks I use this brush.
Real Techniques Beauty Blender – This beauty blender is my holy hail. I have 4 different beauty blenders but this one is my must have. I just find that it blends out the concealer so much better than the other beauty blenders I have.
Sigma Beauty E54 – This brush is a medium sweeper brush. I use this to apply my eyeshadows. I find that when I apply my shadows this also does a great job blending the colors together.
Sigma Beauty E06 – Want to create the perfect wing liner this is a must have! Seriously. Ever since I got this brush it’s been a game changer for me.
L.A.B 2 Beauty Blending Brush – This was my first blending brush I had received and I just loved how the brush is a bit pointed at the top so you can use this very well on your crease when blending shadows.
Morphe Brushes E36/E18 – These brushes combined are perfect when you’re trying to smoke out the eyeshadows on your bottom eyelids.
Mally Rounded Blender Brush – Got this in my Boxycharm box and I just loved how soft the bristles on the brush were. It also does an amazing job with blending the shadows.
Sigma Beauty E39 – Buffing brush! Holy smokes. When I first used this I wasn’t sure how I wanted to use this. But let me tell you it’s another great crease brush.
There you have it. Honestly I had to narrow this list down because I have so many makeup brushes and I knew that if I named all the brushes it would have been a novel lol
