Being a busy mom sometimes I don’t have time to go to the grocery store, especially with my boy’s baseball schedule. And when we don’t have the kids we’re always trying to figure out what we want to eat. Sometimes looking up meal ideas on Pinterest isn’t easy because you find something but that means you have to go out and get the ingredients. Let’s be honest here sometimes we’re too lazy to even do that and I hate having to result in having my local pizza place deliver our favorite pizza. And I LOVE to cook. Well, what if I told you that can easily change by having actual healthy and fresh meals delivered to your front door for you to cook at home.
Which brings me to talk to you about HelloFresh. If you’re unfamiliar with HelloFresh, it’s a meal kit delivery service offering both omnivore and vegetarian options, with farm-fresh ingredients, chef-inspired recipes, and flexible subscriptions.
How does it work? You pick a plan that fits your lifestyle. So if you want it for just you and your partner or your entire family. You also select if you have any dietary preferences and schedule. You also get to pick from a variety of weekly recipes.
How is it shipped? Is shipped in a large, recyclable box with an air cell type liner and flat packs of fully enclosed ice. The ingredients for each meal are organized in their own individual boxes so there is no sorting through to find what you need when you get ready to make something. Just grab the box and go. I immediately put each of these boxes in my refrigerator until I was ready to use them.
I must say that I was really impressed by how the food came in and how fresh the ingredients were. We did save the other meals for a few days after we received and they were surprisingly fresh still. The only thing is that you do have to buy the produce like your chicken, meat, and seafood. But that’s easy to get. But it’s a great alternative to eating out or ordering food online.
