Last month I talked to you about Rylan’s Birth Story but today I’m going to be talking about Landon’s Birth Story at SSM Health St. Mary’s. I’m going to be completely honest with you ladies but Landon’s pregnancy was another dramatic event for me. I had morning sickness all 9 months and six months into the pregnancy I was having issues with my anemia. I had to get 2 units of blood transfusion in order for me to stay alive. He was taking all of my red blood cells. But one thing I knew was that I was going to have Landon by c-section. I didn’t want a traumatic delivery again so thankfully my doctor was amazing about it and told me c-section would be a good idea.

When you give birth to one child, you become comfortable and trustworthy of your doctor so of course, I stayed with my doctor and delivered at SSM Health St. Mary’s

Because I had a scheduled c-section with my doctor I didn’t know how this c-section would go. I was awake the entire time so my anxiety was on high that morning. But my doctor was amazing and made me feel comfortable. I was completely surprised by how quick everything went. Having a c-section can be a scary thing for a soon to be a mom to go through.

At this time SSM Health St. Mary’s completely remodeled the birthing suites. It looked completely different from what it did when I first had Rylan. The room was bigger, the tv was bigger, and the bathroom looked like a hotel bathroom. We really loved how the SSM Health St. Mary’s Family Birth Suites looked. It made my stay feel like home.

One of my favorite things about the new family suites is that the nurses were always on deck whenever I needed them.
