Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Review

Recently I purchased the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Foundation. I love Maybelline products and their Super Stay Matte Full Coverage Foundation is by far my holy grail foundation at the moment. The Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Foundation contains SPF 50 which is great all year round and even better to wear in the summer. I am someone who does occasionally wear foundation in the summer. Depending on how hot it is.

Maybelline Dream Urban Cover comes in 16 shades, has been tested by a dermatologist and it cost $12.99.

Let’s talk about the foundation. The foundation is meant to protect your skin from harmful environmental aggressors like UVA & UVB damage. It contains SPF 50 and is enriched with antioxidants. This is going to help protect against pollution. The foundation is light-weight and breathable.  It also evens skin tone and covers your imperfections.

Thoughts on the foundation?

The foundation is definitely light-weight. I love how the foundation looks on my skin, it’s beautiful and it doesn’t feel like I am wearing foundation at all. The foundation does come in a squeeze tube that I’m okay with. I love that I can squeeze out all of the products versus having to use a pump.

The only downfall I have with the foundation is that if you have oily/combination skin, you definitely want to apply a mattifying primer on the areas of your face where you get oily the most. Otherwise, you will look like an oily mess. If you are expecting this foundation to be full coverage, it’s not. You get a natural finish. It reminds of a tinted moisturizer versus a foundation. Highly recommend setting it with powder & setting spray for longer wear.
