Morphe x Manny MUA Glam Palette

Morphe x Manny MUA

Happy Monday! Starting this week off with a beauty review. I recently purchased the NEW Morphe x Manny MUA Glam Palette. I have loved the palette Manny MUA did with Makeup Geek. It was one of the first palettes I bought from another influencer. When I saw that Manny MUA partnered with Morphe, I had to give it a try.

Morphe x Manny MUA Glam Palette

This palette comes with 12 eyeshadow shades from shimmers and mattes. But it also includes two highlighters. Right off the bat, the palette is beautiful. Manny MUA included one particular eyeshadow shimmer that was also in his first palette with Makeup Geek. Any guesses? Aries. This color was also in his first palette and to be honest it was one of the many reasons I bought his first palette because of the red/warm tones and this beautiful chrome eyeshadow. I was happy to see that similar shade in this palette. Below is a breakdown of the eyeshadow colors.

  • Dust Cloud (matte peach creme)
  • Scorpio (shimmering warm gold)
  • Fire Witch (matte coral)
  • Leo (shimmering bronze)
  • Sophie (matte roasted almond)
  • Spellbound (matte rosewood)[/column_element]

  • Cancer (shimmering plum)
  • Zaya (matte cappuccino)
  • Boy Next Door (matte camel)
  • Gamenta (matte magenta)
  • Aries (shimmering peacock)
  • Howl (matte chocolate) [/column_element][/columns_container]

Thoughts On The Palette?

Upon swatching the colors, I noticed that some of the colors were pigmented and others were just “meh”. I did have to swatch the colors a few times for it to show up on my arm. Which is disappointing because I love Morphe’s eyeshadows. What I also noticed was that when it came to blending certain matte shades (ex: Gamenta & Spellbound) it was so patchy on the eyes. I had to go over it a few times for the eyeshadow not to look patchy.

I had a hard time making Aries pop on the eyes as well. I applied it with my finger then with my makeup brush wet and it finally came through. It’s such a beautiful color and it sucks that the eyeshadow wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I will say that the highlighter “Apollo” which is a golden apricot shimmer, did pop. That is what I have on my face right here.

Now, do I recommend this palette? No, I DON’T. Even though the palette is only $20 and available at Ulta. I do not recommend it because you will be disappointed by the formula and pigmentation of this palette. I do plan to return this palette as I was not happy with it.

Bummer! Looks so gorgeous and I love that Aries shade but hate when shadows are blotchy or under-pigmented.
