Did you guys know that your local Hy-Vee has a restaurant? If you didn’t, then you need to hurry up and get there. We decided to have breakfast at Hy-Vee and try out their NEW breakfast menu. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. They have a large menu for breakfast, you also get a good amount of food when you order, and don’t forget the drinks!
Breakfast Menu at Hy-Vee
There are certain weekends where I just don’t want to cook breakfast. Especially with having boys ages 10 & 12. The fact that Hy-Vee has a restaurant where we can sit down and eat breakfast, makes weekend breakfasts a little easier. After trying out their breakfast, we are hooked.
What did we get? I decided to get their Nutella Banana Waffle with the Classic – Good Start. I loved it. The waffle was the best waffle I’ve ever had. The Classic – Good Start contains eggs, bacon, and potatoes. OH MY GOSH, the potatoes were DELICIOUS. They were perfectly seasoned and crispy. My husband had the Berry Blissed Stuffed French Toast. He loved them. He was a little indecisive on whether to get that or the Apple Pie Pancakes. He’s getting those next time we go back.
My oldest is 12 and that means he’s eating a lot more. He went with a Create Your Own Skillet. It was HUGE. He had to take leftovers home. But he loved it. My youngest had pancakes from the kid’s menu. Food from the kid’s menu is pretty huge too.
Overall we absolutely loved their breakfast. Hy-Vee only uses fresh and high-quality ingredients. The food is also made to order. We can’t wait to go back and try out their cocktails for breakfast.
