OUR PHOTOS HAVE ARRIVED! I have been dying to see our engagement photos because we did them last month in the hot humid weather that mother nature decided to give Wisconsin residents. Throughout our session I noticed my curls were falling down because of the humidity, we were sweaty but you know what Audrey did such an amazing job making sure we didn’t look like sweaty betty’s. We had so much fun doing our engagement photos.

Looking through our photos, I noticed that Audrey captured our love for one another. Brian and I have a funny love story and I’ve talked about it before on the blog (I believe).

My senior year in high school my parents moved into their home but it was not in the school district I had already attended for 3 years. So I told my parents I would not be switching schools my senior year. My sister on the other than was all for switching school. Brian and my sister went to high school together and they had a few classes together. I knew of Brian because of my sister, they were friends.
Few laters on Facebook, he asked me out. I said no because I wasn’t interested. Then he proceeded to ask me out again but I was just going through a break up so I said no again. Then one day on Facebook, he sort of picked on me saying something along the lines of “queen of selfies”. I responded with “you’re king of selfies” because he was too posting selfies. I didn’t realize that when I was commenting I was flirting back with him. I guess the conversation got so funny I didn’t realize it.
BING! I hear my messenger go off on Facebook, it’s Brian asking me “So, when can I take out my queen out to dinner?” and at first I thought he was joking but he wasn’t. I said yes. At this time, I was single my boys and I had just moved into our own little place. So I was in a good spot in my life to go out on a date. I didn’t think anything would come of it but I immediately fell in love with his personality and sense of humor.
Our entire date, he had me laughing. We also realized we had LOTS in common including Harry Potter. Our relationship didn’t start off slow at all. He ended up asking me to be his girlfriend 5 days before Christmas that year. One of the things I definitely wanted to make sure was that he got along with my boys because we were a packaged deal. My boys mean the world to me so if someone wasn’t good enough or didn’t stand up to my standards, then he wasn’t good for me.
Brian is another great father figure to my boys. My boys do call him dad, even though they do see their own father. But it’s an added bonus that my boys do love and respect him as a father figure. One of the many reasons why I said yes to him.
