Fun Weekend with the Kiddos

This weekend we surprisingly got a warm weather. 50 degrees and I was able to wear my ripped jeans, boots, tank and cardigan. I loved it. I hate having to bundle up. We decided to take the boys to Chucke Cheese and Ella’s Deli. Why not take advantage of the good weather. Boys were so excited to go to Chucke Cheese. We haven’t been there since Rylan’s 5th birthday. I don’t know about you but I love Chucke Cheese pizza. So delicious. We had a competition to see who could win tickets for the boys. Of course we split in teams. Rylan and Mommy – Landon & Brian. They won. 149 tickets and I only got 94. Lol Sad day for me. After some fun there we took the boys to Ella’s Deli. It’s such a fun place for the kids. Their ice cream so delicious.   The boys were so amazed by the fun stuff around the restaurant. Landon had the “superman” ice cream and Rylan had the “rainbow” ice cream. Brian and I decided to get the “Grilled Pound Cake with ice cream and hot fudge”. Delightful.

Happy Thursday. Am I the only one who thinks this week has gone by fast? This week has been good to us, I can tell you that much. Yesterday we traded in the car and got a different one. So stoked about that. Loving it for sure. It’s Dr Suess week at my sons school so they have been doing silly things for each day. Like today is “wear your vacation shirt” so he’s wearing his Mickey Mouse shirt from Florida, from when he went to Disney World last summer with my parents. He’s definitely excited about it. Tomorrow is PJ day so he basically gets to roll out of bed and go to school in what he wears. Besides that let’s get to the point of the post, shall we? Currently I’m… Loving: the car we have. Although its not NEW it’s something newer than what we had. 2011 Ford Fusion isn’t so bad. I love it. Writing: this post right here and then scheduling the one for tomorrow!!! Happy Friday everyone. I can’t believe the weekend is finally here. Day off means I get to enjoy it with my boys and being lazy.  Currently I’m.. Loving: Pinterest. I have been on it this whole week just pinning away ideas to do for this spring/summer. I’m just so over the winter and ready for warm weather. Are you? Writing: I have been trying to get back into writing in my journal. I feel like it’s a great way to release anything inside your head.  Planning: As of right now we are planning to take the kiddos to Chicago next weekend for a little fun in the big city. We are also planning a trip to Mall of America in Minnesota and a trip to New York City to visit my family. Lots to do this year. But trying to do everything on a budget is quite hard lol  Reading: Gone Girl. I just started last week and I definitely like it. I can’t wait to finish reading the book.  Needing: Money to be able to do what I want to my apartment but of course that takes time and patience. ERRRRR!!!! Snickers Cake

On Sunday I made this delicious treat. Everyone loved it. Print Snickers Cake Prep Time 20 mins Cook Time 45 mins Total Time 1 hr 5 mins   Course: Dessert Cuisine: American Servings: 8 Ingredients 1 box Betty Crockers devils food cake 3 eggs 1/2 cup of oil 1 1/4 cup of water 1 can of unsweetened condensed milk 1 jar of Caramel Topping Ingredients for Frosting – 1/2 cup of chopped salted peanuts 1 15oz Tub of Cool of Whip Caramel Sauce Chocolate Sauce Instructions 1. Mix together the egg, cake mix, water and oil and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 mins. 2. While the cake is baking, in a bowl mix together the caramel topping and condensed milk. Use a hand mixer. 3. When the cake is done baking while it’s hot poke holes with a fork and pour the caramel/condensed milk mixture over the cake. Let it cool down for 20 mins. 4. Once the cake is cooled sprinkle some of the chopped peanuts, spread some of the cool whip over the cake, add the rest of the chopped peanuts, and then add the caramel sauce and chocolate sauce. Look how delicious it looks.

Fish Tacos

One of my favorite go to meals when I have to make something super quick is “Fish Tacos”. Now I’m not talking about the frozen fish you buy at the store but actual fish you buy fresh and get from the store, season it and cook it. This is by far my favorite recipe because my mom taught me how to do it. Family recipe I must say. Growing up fish was a must every Friday since we didn’t get to eat meat. We were catholic and so my parents would always make Fish for dinner. I have made this fish with white rice and its so delicious. I have also shared this recipe with my close friends. They loved it. I decided to make this Fish recipe into a fish taco recipe. I seriously hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup

Sharing the best Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup. Perfect for fall and winter weather. Simple and easy to do. All you have to do is put all the ingredients in the crockpot.  My family and I loved this recipe and I can’t wait to make Chicken Noodle Soup again.  Print Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup Prep Time 10 mins Cook Time 9 hrs 5 mins Total Time 9 hrs 15 mins   Servings: 6 Ingredients 4 cups of water 4 cups of chicken broth 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt 1 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of pepper 1 whole white onion cut into chunks 2 chicken breast thawed cut into chunks 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon fresh chopped basil leaves 2 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley leaves 2 celery sticks chopped 1/2 cup of baby carrots chopped 1 1/2 cup of wide egg noodles Instructions 1. Add the ingredients except the noodles in the crock pot. Slow cook for 5 hours. 2. After 5 hours take the chicken and bay leaf out. Shred the chicken, put back in the crock pot. 3.
