Thanks to Sundara Inn & Spa for hosting us. As always, all opinions and thoughts presented are entirely my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that support Jasmine Maria Blog!

Hope you all had a good weekend. We definitely did. If you missed it Brian and I went on a couples retreat I like to call it on Thursday and Friday. We stayed at the Sundara Inn & Spa in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. It was probably the most relaxing thing we ever did. As you know we are in the midst of packing our apartment to move into another apartment,  we both work, and we are getting married in less than 2 months. So things have been so chaotic.

5 Reasons You Should Go On A Couples Retreat

We decided to go on this couples retreat because we needed a way to unwind and just relax. That’s exactly what we did. I think as a couple you don’t realize that sometimes we need that time for ourselves and just be in the moment. It’s also hard to do when you have kids. Here are 5 Reasons You Should Go On A Couples Retreat.

You Get To Unplug

At Sundara Inn & Spa you forced to unplug when you are in the common areas. Meaning you can only use your phone or any type of electronic when you are in the lobby or suites. Anywhere else you can’t. I loved the idea because we live in an era where we are all addicted to our electronics. Not being able to use our phones.

Reconnect

Believe it or not, being at the Sundara Inn & Spa was a great way for Brian and me to reconnect again. We actually had to talk to one another about things. We got to be in the moment and enjoy one another. Something we don’t always get to do because of the kids.

Get To Have Fun

The Sundara Inn & Spa has 2 pools for couples to enjoy. One of the pools has a swim-up bar and you get to enjoy cocktails while laying out, drinking your cocktail and talk with other couples. The second pool is more for relaxing but they do have a bar next to it but you don’t do much talking.

They also have golf, purifying bath ritual, trek bicycles, meditation trail, hammock retreat and much more. But you can also sign up for activities like aqua yoga, mat pilates, culinary demo, pontoon cruise, juicing class, mixology, and other fun activities.

Spa Treatments

Hello, who doesn’t love going to the spa? Getting treated is a good way to feel relax. Sundara Inn & Spa has a lot of different types of spa treatments like massages, facials, manicure/pedicures, body treatments, bath treatments, and salon. We got the Sundara Signature Massage and it was the best thing ever. We both loved our massages. It was so relaxing and I found out that the reason my upper back & neck has been hurting is that I don’t have a good posture. They used essential oils too when they gave us massages.

Get Away From Home

Leaving your home is a great thing to do. I love living in a lavish lifestyle even if it’s for 1 night. They have amazing suites, I mean look at our room. We got to stay at their NEW Woodland Retreat suite. This room was so beautiful. I didn’t want to leave at all. We had a wet bar, dining area, private balcony with our own hot tub and seating area, designer shower, and comfortable bed. I was actually able to sleep in the bed because of how comfortable it is.

I think the best part of the whole retreat was that we were in our robes all day. We didn’t have to take them off at all because you are pretty much in your swimsuit the entire day. If you do plan to go to Sundara Inn & Spa I would only recommend bringing a change of clothes, sunscreen, bathroom essentials, and swimsuit because you won’t leave the facility. We packed clothes thinking that we would want to go out to dinner but instead we stayed inside because we were too comfortable. Their Nava Restaurant is delicious.

Sounds great! I’m a WI gal and was just in WI Dells a few weeks ago for one night with my husband. I love it there, although it’s very busy in the summer!
