6 Restaurants to Eat in Madison

Brunch at Everly

For the past few months, I’ve been going to so many different places to eat locally. One of the things we like to do as bloggers or after Kelsie, Chloe and I get our nails done. It’s actually become a ritual, to be honest. Since I’ve gone to so many different places, these are probably my favorite new places so far this year to eat. I’ve shared before my Top 7 Places to Eat last year which was a hit for those that live locally. But if you do ever come to Madison, WI these posts will become very helpful when it comes to finding places to eat.

Everly

Everly hosted a local bloggers brunch here. There are so many windows which make this place so open and airy. I actually find this place so cute. When it comes to brunch I like to keep it simple especially if it’s my first meal of the day. I always have to have eggs and potatoes as part of my meal. Thankfully they had something I would like. It’s called The Standard which is basically herbed roasted potatoes, toast, eggs and bacon. For the drink I highly recommend the Everly Mimosa, it’s so delicious.

They do have vegetarian and vegan options.

Coopers Tavern

This little hidden gem is downtown of Madison right across from the Capitol. There smoked margarita, cheese curds, and fish & tips are so good. The girls ordered that cheese plate. Isn’t it a beautiful presentation. I love it. The restaurant is quite small wish it was bigger. But they do have a great selection of food, wine, and beer.

Another great place to eat right across from the Capitol. You would have never known that the place used to be a bank. One of the waiters was kind enough to show us their downstairs bar where they’ve turned the “bank safe” into a lounge bar. I wish I could’ve taken photos but it was so dark. But even though it was formerly a bank, they’ve managed to make this place beautiful & bright. The food is delicious. We actually had a bloggers brunch here and I ended up having their pizza called “The Queen” and of course had a mimosa, cause duh it’s brunch.

Tipsy Cow

This place has recently become mine, Kelsie and Chloe’s place to eat after getting our nails done. We also love the waiter name Seth there. The cheese curds are my favorite from their menu. The girls love to get their Goat Cheese Curds where I keep it simple and get the regular ones. I don’t like goat cheese. But I have had their fish & chips and it’s delicious. Next time I go I’m going to have to try their carnitas tacos.

Bucks & Honey

I LOVE THEIR FOOD. Okay so I’m a picky eater and the first time I went there it was a Friday so duh, Fish’n Chips. But the second time I went there with Brian, I got their Pan-Fried Walleye. DELICIOUS. I was shocked by how good it was. You also need to try their margaritas. I didn’t take any photos when I went there but you can watch my stories where I share a video of the food.

Bartaco

AHHH this place is the newest place in Madison. This is our favorite new place for tacos. I took my boys and Brian there and they loved the food. Even better because they offer a variety of tacos and you can pick as many as you want. Plus they offer secret tacos. We went there in April and their secret taco was “fried avocado”. Brian said it was delicious. We are actually going back this weekend for their new secret taco. You also need to get their churros.

I’m sure we will visit more places this year. If I do, I will definitely share another post.
