Have you noticed on Instagram how I’ve been rocking my curly hair? I’ve honestly been loving it. It’s giving my hair a break from all the hot tools and I don’t have to worry about more damage to my curls. Although I haven’t been styling my natural curls consistently since last summer. I have done it here and there. I was worried that my curls would be a bit fragile and more damaged but there have been some products I’ve been using to help retain those curls.

Since I’ve been going all-natural on the hair. I thought it was great to share my updated curly hair routine. These products I have been using consistently with the exception of the hair gel. The reason for that is that I like to switch between my two current favorite hair gels.
Pre-Shampoo Treatment
There are two products I use before I wash my hair. The first product is the Vegamour Scalp Detox Serum [use code: JASMINEMARIA]. This treatment I use for 10 mins and helps with detoxifying my scalp from buildup.
The second product is a protein treatment by Curlsmith. It’s called Bond Curl Rehab Salve. This treatment is only used when I know my hair needs protein. Usually after bleaching. This treatment is to help
Shampoo + Conditioner
I have been using the Living Proof Curls Shampoo + Curls Conditioner. I know it doesn’t have the best reviews but I actually like the shampoo + conditioner. It’s made my curls more hydrated and soft. It doesn’t strip my hair since it’s a gentle cleanse. The only issue I have with this shampoo + conditioner is the squeeze bottle version. Sometimes it’s hard to get the product out.
Deep Conditioner
Using a deep conditioner is important in my haircare routine. I like to use Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask but since I didn’t have any more of this. I had to use the Verb Ghost Hair Mask. They’re both deep conditioners. They both provide hydration to your hair which is what a lot of curls need. [use code: jasmine10]
Heat Protectant
Using a heat protectant is important for your hair. Whether you’re styling it naturally curly or straight. I have been using the Imbue Curl Defining Heat Protectant. This does only work best on 3A-4C curls. I apply this before adding my leave-in conditioner and curl cream.
Leave-In Conditioner
I recently got the Prose Leave-In Conditioner. It was my first time trying it out and honestly haven’t stopped using it. I love how it’s lightweight but hydrates my curls. It also helps detangles the hair.
Curl Cream
You know I’ve mentioned this curl cream before in my Prose Review. This curl cream is honestly one of my favorite curl creams to use. Keeps my hair also hydrated and frizz-free.
Gel + Oil
I like to go between two hair gels. The first is one is the Ouidad Climate Control Strong Hold Gel or the Living Proof Curl Defining Gel. Both of these gels work really well and definitely help with frizz. I also don’t notice a huge crunch when I am diffusing my hair.
Lastly the hair oil. The Verb Ghost Oil is not something I will ever stop talking about. It’s truly the best oil and it helps with smoothing out the curls, so no frizz. It’s also a heat protectant.
