It’s here! My wedding photos have arrived and I’m so ready to share them with you including the details. You guys have been following & reading my wedding planning journey for almost 2 years. I remember announcing my engagement and immediately starting to plan our wedding. Having a long engagement (657 days also known as 1.5 years) definitely helped us when it came to wedding planning.
It didn’t feel rushed and I had time to scout out vendors. I think for me the biggest decision was definitely the venue and my dress. I will talk to you about my venue in a different post.
Wedding Hair Makeup & Dress Details
Finding the perfect wedding dress was definitely difficult. I shared a blog post last year called Wedding Dress Shopping Tips. I tried on so many dresses but this one dress from Vera’s House of Bridals definitely suited me. My idea for my dress, I wanted lace with some of the vintage pearls buttons because I love the pearl buttons and a little bling. I told my bridal dress consultant and she pulled a few dresses for me and this was the first dress I tried on and I fell in love with it. I did try on others but I came back to this dress 2 more times. I’m 5’2″ so I wanted to make sure that my dress had a long train but not heavy.
Wedding Accessories Details:
Because my dress had a lot of bling I definitely didn’t want to overdo it with my accessories. I kept it very simple but made sure it went along with my dress style. My earringsand bracelet are from Sara Gabriel. My sapphire blue necklaceis from Kendra Scott. I originally didn’t want a necklace but I needed something blue. This necklace was perfect.
I decided to get two shoes for my wedding. A pair for the ceremony and the other pair for the reception. My ceremony shoeswere wedges to give me a bit of height for my dress as I had gotten my dress altered. But I also wanted to be comfortable while taking photos and the reception, so I splurged on these beautiful flats.
Wedding Hair & Makeup
I shared my video on my makeup look and all the products I used on my wedding day. I definitely went for a warm smokey eye as this is my signature look. For hair I know I wanted my hair down since I have hair extensions. My hairstylist Alison did such a beautiful job. I wanted a glammed Game of Thrones inspiration but because I wasn’t wearing a veil I decided to wear a beautiful hairpiece.
