If you missed my Instagram post 2 days, we have mailed out our wedding invitations. It’s definitely starting to feel very real that I will soon be marrying Brian. I have been planning this wedding since December 2017 and now that we are less than 7 months away I’m starting to get anxious for the day to be here already. Everything is starting to fall into place.
Picking out our wedding invitations was definitely hard. The reason why it was hard is that I am Hispanic, most of my family members don’t read/speak English. So I wanted to create custom invitations for my family so they are able to understand. Now having to buy 2 separate stacks of invites was going to be a bit chaotic at least for me. After doing so many research on wedding websites we decided to go with Basic Invite.
Basic Invite allows you to upload your own design to have printed. I also love that it gives you the dimension you need to ensure you are good when it comes to printing.

The design we decided to go with is called Modern Forever Wedding Invitation. You are able to upload a photo to the front of the invite include your name in foil. We selected silver since it was the closest color to gray. I also love that you can select from so many fonts and colors. On the back of the invitation, we did select a navy color font.
Our response cards + hotel/registry cards, I created on my own on Canva and was able to upload it to the Basic Invite website easily. It was nice having the response cards in English and Spanish. Instead of having 2 separate cards for the hotel accommodations and registry, we decided to combine both of them. Saves us money anyway.
Basic Invite does have a variety of wedding invitations plus invitation where you Seal & Send (which is NEW). They’re Seal & Send is not the route I went with because I wanted to have at least a photo of us on the invite, but if you’re looking for something super quick & easy, the Seal & Send is the best option. It’s an all-in-one wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP postcard included. What’s extra special about our Seal & Sends is that guest’s addresses are printed on the front of each invitation which means no envelope necessary. All you have to do is share a link, collect guest addresses, and upload them onto your design, instantly. Once you receive your order all you have to do is add postage, fold your invites, and secure them with a sticker! Simple, easy, and super trendy.
Not only does Basic Invite provide a variety of formal wedding invitations, matching save the date cards, rsvp cards, etc but they also have wedding guest books, custom wedding coasters, and much more. I would highly recommend checking them out.

Love your invites, Jasmine!! And I love that you created the response cards yourself. Love Basic Invite.
These invitations are beautiful! I can’t wait until all my friends start getting married because I’d love to collect little things like the invitations as souvenirs for when we’re older and nostalgic. I also really like that you have an online RSVP option! I never would have thought of that, but it’s genius ?
I love how simple these are. We do our Christmas Cards with Basic Invite every year.
I love Basic Invite and all of the different options they have for customization! Your invites are beautiful and I love that you were able to do English and Spanish. 🙂 I can’t wait to see your wedding!!
